I agree!!! These and Judy’s videos!
We get a vlog in the AM then a cooking vlog in the PM! You guys are spoiling us rotten but are loving it! Happy Holidays fam!❤
Papa always makes me smile! Keep the videos coming Benji. I’m gonna try this sinigang. I’m making beef nilaga tomorrow!
That’s good too!
Bahahahaha I love Judy “ are you cooking it” 😂😂😂😂
lol. Yeah she’s hilarious
Judy's so polite! Lol "are you cooking it?? Ok, bye" I would have snapped at my hubbs, lol. 😂❤
What a great way to spend time together cooking this dish! Great Job Judy! Thank you Benji for sharing a great video!
I’d LOVE to see a video on Papa’s recipe!! ❤
agreed
YESS!! The video everyones been waiting for❤❤
Hi Judy I see you. 😊 Yay. I wanted that recipe. Thank you Benji and Judy. Ok so I'm going to make this bc this is the time now to have soup. Hi papa!!!!😊
Loving all the video drops!! Woohoo!!
Thank you benji for posting more videos again 🥰❤️
Yay! The sinigang video I was waiting for. 🎉
Benji, we appreciate the consistent videos! They're so comforting and informative. Keep up the amazing work! ^_^
I love that u guys do fusion of your fav dishes! Japanese and Filipino❤
Made this last night and it hit the SPOT. Thank you and Judy sharing your recipes with us and for all the great content🎉
This looks delicious, we make something very similar as well with the tamarind packet. Yes pork ribs are the way to go, it you’d have to try it with bones in fish, it’s delicious and absorbs a lot of the sourness.
Yum
Sinigang and Chicken Tinola are my go to ❤❤ Nice to see Papa❤❤ Wishing Papa a healthy and happy heart even through the process of moving forward ❤❤❤
Great video!
Sinigang is my favourite! We usually add patis (fish sauce) for the umami ☺️ watching from Vancouver, BC! Love your family! ❤️
thanks for making the process of cooking this dish easy to remember! Now I feel comfortable going for it! Think I will do pork spare rib for my first time! 🤙🏾
I was wondering about the sili sinigang when Judy said "oh we forgot sili" xD that's a staple here because what you do is get patis and crush the cooked sili in it and use that as a sawsawan for the pork. now, I'm craving sinigang haha!
Never knew that. Thank you!
Oooo I love sili in my sinigang ❤
My mom also taught me to sauté my meats in aromatics first (with a lil bit of fish sauce in there too) and tomatoes before fully cooking them in the soup. Another fun addition is taro we mash the taro into the soup to thicken it a little bit. My sister and my man loves the soup a lil thick ❤ that sinigang looks bomb tho
Sounds great!
Yes! I have been waiting for this sinigang recipe. I really want to make this.
me too lol
@@BenjiManTV Haha! 😆 I am heading to town soon and will pick up ingredients for it. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
Love this version of sinigang. I will definitely try this!
hope you like it
Ilove watching your video..specially ur cooking❤❤❤.. have you ever try batchoy a filipino soup dish? Hope you try to cook dat one too .. ❤️🙏❤️
I haven’t. Hope to try.
Papa speculating 😂 so wholesome ❤
lol
Is Judy's shirt... the dog flipping us off 😂 🐶 get it gurllll
Benji's sinigang recipe is the BEST! When you sear the pork, it tends to remove the "porky smell" of the broth. This is how i cook my sinigang as well. That looks broth-ilicious!
I hope you feel better
Thank you!! These are so fun to watch. I just had to look up how to make the smashed brussel sprouts with Parmesan. Did you use balsamic drizzle? Video ideas...❤❤
yes, balsamic drizzle for sure. Judy just likes parmesan.
Siningag is a Filipino sour soup 😋 Traditionally tamarind based, but I've seen other variations around the Philippines. My mom's used fresh guavas instead of the usual tamarind 😋
I've never had Sinigang with pork belly. But I'm sure it's delicious!
papa did mention they used sour mangos too. anything sour for the flavor
Hey! I don’t eat pork. What can I substitute that with? 😊
@@PcfulSolliterally any other meat
@@PcfulSol Vietnamese has their own version of this sour soup and uses fish! Search vietnamese canh chua
@@PcfulSolyou can do it with different meats and fish. You can do it with shrimp, red snapper, any fish, beef and chicken is applicable too. I usually thicken the soup with taro or miso, especially when I make it with fish. It adds another layer of flavor and it makes the soup richer.
Now I’m craving sinigang 🤤
Love seeing Papa Albert ❤
Papa is the best
The angry eyes at the end LOL
For sinigang, I only sear the pork if I'm using all boneless cuts and I'm worried about not getting enough flavor without the bones.
Sinigang with loads of small taro is my favvvvvvvv. 🫶🏻
I’m Mexican cuisine we make caldo de pollo 😋 usually with Mexican zucchini, carrots, celery, cabbage and potatoes.
would totally try that!
It looks delicious. It probably smells good too. 😊
When I growing up my Mom do tamarind for pork and guava when she use beef and both are so good. But the veg. that you use in your sinigang is for nilaga. And we don’t fry the pork first we boil the meat until tenter, and you add the rest of the ingredients the hard to cook first and the easy to cook the last. But it’s your version and you’re the one eating it .
Yummy
You guys should get those glasses that have a camera in it, and film POV style cooking!
You should try Shrimp Sinigang!
😮
i have. delicious too
LOVE LOVE LOVE SINIGANG!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Us too
Do you guys ever make chicken tinola??
Over the years I’ve always wanted to try Sinigang. I even picked up a Mamacitas Sinigang packet to use but never used it! I think I was nervous about fish being the recommended choice of meat but I know I’ve never seen you guys use fish as your protein. Ahh I just need to do it!!
u can try salmon for fish, or if u eat shrimps, that's good too. tip just put your sinigang mix little by little and test if the sour tast is just right 😊
@@10velyshu thanks for the tips!!
yaas thank you for the break down
can we see some
🗣️ adobo 🙌🏼adobo 🙌🏼adobo🙌🏼
search back... i made one a couple weeks ago :)
i love sinigang! ❤
all of us too
Dear @BenjiTravis you can substitute spinach from the traditional water spinach or Kangkong... or use also long beans or Sitaw...have a lovely weekend ahead...
i believe long beans is normally used
I just got myself some tamarind for the first time and I will make some sinigang, but I don't have that instant stuff you guys have, so how many tamarinds should I use? How sour it should be?
Try chicken tinola too hehehe
Y'all need to try it out with Salmon 🤤🤤 it's quicker to cook as well!
theres a spot in Seattle that makes a great salmon sinigang. the oriental mart at pike place market.
@BenjiManTV I'll put that down on my restaurant list if I ever get the chance to visit the States in the near future.
Happy holidays 🎄✨️ to you and the family! Much love from Sydney, Australia ❤️
cooking sinigang rn cause of this video 🤣🤩 i also prefer bokchoy over the traditional water spinach so delish 😍
So delicious. Perfect!
I love pork sinigang especially when its days old. 😋
so much better
We add lots of spinach in our sinigang!
taste better with fish sauce. and i like it also with knorr sinigang sa MISO variant. sooo umami bomb!
oh yeah. i tried it wish fish sauce the next day.... soooooo gooooood
Omgosh I want some so bad 😢😢
Try it!
Benji what is the knife judy was using called and where can you purchase it?
Santoku Chef knife by Blue Apron.
@@BenjiManTV Thank you so much for your reply
Can we take a second to call out the corgi giving us the finger 😂
Im so hungry watching this. But I just ate monggo with chicharon.
thats delicious too
Seeing the Tamarind mix makes me understand why the Filipino men trade us mango and calamansa for tamarind in Florida
Judy's shirt 😂😂
;)
Try pork bagnet sinigang! Its like lechon kawali. Its the bomb
it is
We get them now because the beautiful Mama is no longer with us so Benji is trying to do a little something something. Mama had a cooking show for awhile.
she'll never be replaced. we miss her
1am got me cooking sinigang
yup it happens
Were Bella's hands washed before she put the veggies in the pot?
Wait is just wearing a shiba flipping me off? 😂
😆
Where’s the patis/fish sauce
Can you still make it without tomatoes?
Yes, most variations don't have it. My parents usually only put tomatoes in fish sinigang.
@@tenkaistar1089 thank you!
sure. no rules on cooking
Where's Papa's reaction to the soup?
coming next time sorry.
Dad joke signal ⚠️
How do you make gold soup ?
Put 24 carrots in it! 🥕🍲
Hello weekend!
Recipe for lily. Steal it for her.
Bok Choy is good as a soup
Nothing like a good white wash filipino :D
Not that healthy when using the tamarind soup base mix. Try using the fresh green tamarind.
one day i hope too
No no for Instant Sinigang!
The Judges are dumb!
😅😅😅😅😅
Good fats in there
real good
Benji and Judy realize that Judy may want to stop vloggin so to diversify Benji back in the game. I wish Judy would take more time for her to exercise. The girls see Benji caring for his health and inviting them to camp with him and go to the park . Judys message is more shop makeup and eat. I am hoping the girls see that heir Mamas preference not all women.
That’s harsh.
It looks delicious. It probably smells good too. 😊
