I love your videos! BTW, for the new Top Gun movie the actors were in the fighter jets in the rear seat with a camera setup that makes it look like they are flying them. Still pretty badass to pull all of those G's and act. Cruise is a pilot and does actually fly an old ww2 fighter in the movie. Isn't it kind of difficult to judge his watch collection by the watches he's worn in movies? Aren't those generally the property of the production company or whatever prop/wardrobe company they've rented from? And aren't those generally chosen by the costume designer and not the actor themselves?

If I remember correctly, the scene in the sequel trailer where they have the carrier launch is Cruise sitting in the rear seat (with the camera angle set up so it looks like he's flying a single seater).
So he's in a real aircraft doing an actual carrier launch to get the g-force effects on his face and not having to CG the background, but he's not controlling it.
