Barcode is a kid. He just graduated high school. He's been through a lot and this is likely one of the biggest losses he's ever suffered. He'll get through it, but he'll need time.

The problem here it was the way he found out... Jeff was his "safe zone"... Barcode blindly trusts him... and Jeff didn't talk to him beforehand... Finding out on stage in front of thousands of people.. And not from Jeff's mouth... It must have hurt him even more... He feels that he betrayed his trust... a fundamental pillar in any relationship
You said exactly what I was thinking. Jeff was his safe zone, and that he found out that he was leaving in front of the audience like everyone else must have hurt him so bad. He was left exposing his vulnerable side in front of thousands of people by the person he trusted. I do wish Jeff the best, but I just wish he would have told Barcode in private. Even if it was right before, and given BC the option of being on stage for the announcement.

1 - Jeff has the right to make his own career decisions, and for that to be respected even if we don’t like it. I don’t like it but I think it’s probably right for him. 2 - Barcode will still be able to work with him (they still have their series this year) and is aware enough to know it was going to happen at one point, especially with KP ending with just one season 3 - The utter cruelty here was not telling Barcode in advance / not telling him after the show. Revealing it the way they did caught Barcode off guard and vulnerable, unable to get the personal conversation Jeff would have had with him to make it a softer blow. I don’t know why this happened but I didn’t feel like I had a right to see Barcode in such a position. He’s so young, it hurt to see him on display like that hurting the way he was.

However, to say he was cruel and hate on him deciding not to renew his contract is going too far, especially when you look at how he treated barcode and the other actors throughout the whole time he moved to his studio for more freedom and to focus on his own music and it's his right plus he always has been the rational type of person who didn't openly show his emotions and thoughts that openly unlike barcode for example so the contrast showed in this matter I am 100% sure they had a discussion about this afterwards with him explaining the what and why to them in private as they should

Instead of choosing to announce Jeff’s departure at a separate time, or even telling Barcode 5 minutes before Pond’s speech, would have given this 18 year old the choice whether to experience this reaction in private or on stage with his BL family. Instead, Barcode had the rug pulled from under him and went through a horrific and genuine emotional reaction in front of thousands of people, and that reaction was filmed and uploaded for the world to see. I’m much older than Barcode and I wouldn’t want to be exposed like that and have the footage online for everyone to see for years to come. I’d say it was pretty horrible for the rest of the cast - particularly Bible who also looked like he might vomit - as forcing anyone to give such a reaction without warning in front of a recording crowd isn’t considering them at all. There was nothing wrong with grabbing the group backstage a minute before and telling them, and letting them choose to go up on stage or take time to react in private. I’d think Barcode and Bible would have needed a few minutes at least. It would have been a more respectful way if the announcement JUST HAD to be made when it was. That’s why I think it’s cruel.
He is not angry, but the way he FOUND out was shocking. If Jeff hadn't tell them previously it's most likely because he was going to give the news after the concert but then someone had to speak and ruin it all.

Y el como director se hizo parte , además de dar la noticia de la despedida de Jeff. El fue una persona importante y fundamental del equipo en la serie , y quiso estar presente para despedir y agradecer a los chicos especialmente a Mile .
I completely understand that Jeff wants to go his own way and do what he feels is best for himself and his career, and I wish him all the best, but I feel so bad for Barcode, he's so young and just getting started and the way he found out probably added to the heartbreak, I don't think he's ignoring Jeff because he angry, he's probably just so disappointed and sad right now that he knows he may cry again if he interacts with Jeff like nothing is wrong, I would be the same to be honest, I'm sure he'll be fine..they both will. I think the reason that Jeff didn't tell the others that he was leaving is that he's afraid that everyone can't focus on their performances especially Barcode. Since he knew Barcode can easily be carried away with his emotions. We could see how Jeff tried to endure the pain but the decision for not it beforehand is the best for everyone. Music is his dream and we know that they can understand most especially Barcode.

I was in a pretty similar situation with someone and reacted with anger out of sadness that they were leaving. As much as I wanted to treasure them longer, I was upset and pushed them away because I couldn’t stand thinking about the inevitable future.

I'm happy about Jeff's decision. But I actually understand Barcode too, not that he is disappointed about Jeff's decision but maybe upset or hurt about not knowing about it before everyone else. Jeff is probably the closest to him and they are doing a series too, so he may have expected to be told about things like that earlier than others. Especially it being so close after one of them already left.

Pond orchestrated announcement to shock everyone. WATCH THE FULL SPEECH CLIP. Jeff spent a TON of time holding the hysterically crying boy who adores him. There was no anger from Barcode. Laughter was because it was adorable how he finally managed to pull himself together at last. Just before that Jeff reminded him that they were going to Korea for a month.

Even just quickly before it was announced to give Barcode time to process it? We will never know. It’s so sad to see the youthful trusting shine in Barcodes eyes become so dim. People call Barcode a child but he thinks and feels deeply and they shouldn’t underestimate his feelings, sadly Jeff did and he will be paying the price for that. Who ever has someone like barcode who thinks the world of us? Thinks we hang the sun and the stars? Jeff was everything to this sweet boy and now barcode has learned a hard lesson in putting all his trust in one person. So so sad. It shouldn’t have been this way. I kinda understood why Barcode was ignoring him during the aftershow fanmeet. Barcode didn't know Jeff's plan to leave BOC until he revealed it during the World Tour. And he must have been disappointed since of anyone in BOC, he should have been at least 2nd to know, or even 3rd or 4th. But he only learned it when Jeff revealed it at the same time to the fans. He must have felt angry, wronged, abandoned and betrayed. Because Jeff was a big brother to him, a coach, a parntner, a protector and bestfriend. Jeff was wrong to keep it from him until the last minute. However I also understand why he did it. Barcode would have been sad the entire tour and not have enjoyed as much as he did. Jeff must have wanted him to enjoy the entire tour that's why he only revealed his plans at the very end... I admire their relationship, especialy as ship partners. I, as a fan, appreciate that Jeff took time to at least share it with the fans. Unlike with Jeff and his first pair, there were not even a word of explanation to fans and left us all lost and wondering what happened. So them sharing this moment with the fans is beautiful and very human. We got to witness what happened, what's happening and what will happen. As well as the emotions and their relationship as colleagues and friends.

Instead, Barcode had the rug pulled from under him and went through a horrific and genuine emotional reaction in front of thousands of people, and that reaction was filmed and uploaded for the world to see. I’m much older than Barcode and I wouldn’t want to be exposed like that and have the footage online for everyone to see for years to come. I’d say it was pretty horrible for the rest of the cast - particularly Bible who also looked like he might vomit - as forcing anyone to give such a reaction without warning in front of a recording crowd isn’t considering them at all. There was nothing wrong with grabbing the group backstage a minute before and telling them, and letting them choose to go up on stage or take time to react in private. I’d think Barcode and Bible would have needed a few minutes at least. It would have been a more respectful way if the announcement JUST HAD to be made when it was. That’s why I think it’s cruel.

I completely understand that Jeff wants to go his own way and do what he feels is best for himself and his career, and I wish him all the best, but I feel so bad for Barcode, he's so young and just getting started and the way he found out probably added to the heartbreak, I don't think he's ignoring Jeff because he angry, he's probably just so disappointed and sad right now that he knows he may cry again if he interacts with Jeff like nothing is wrong, I would be the same to be honest, I'm sure he'll be fine..they both will.

I think the reason that Jeff didn't tell the others that he was leaving is that he's afraid that everyone can't focus on their performances especially Barcode. Since he knew Barcode can easily be carried away with his emotions. We could see how Jeff tried to endure the pain but the decision for not it beforehand is the best for everyone. Music is his dream and we know that they can understand most especially Barcode.

Pond orchestrated announcement to shock everyone. WATCH THE FULL SPEECH CLIP. Jeff spent a TON of time holding the hysterically crying boy who adores him. There was no anger from Barcode. Laughter was because it was adorable how he finally managed to pull himself together at last. Just before that Jeff reminded him that they were going to Korea for a month.

Also Jeff must have known he was leaving for a long time now. It’s not easy to start your own label, it’s takes months, even years. He knew he was leaving, why didn’t he tell barcode? Even just quickly before it was announced to give Barcode time to process it? We will never know. It’s so sad to see the youthful trusting shine in Barcodes eyes become so dim.
People call Barcode a child but he thinks and feels deeply and they shouldn’t underestimate his feelings, sadly Jeff did and he will be paying the price for that.
Who ever has someone like barcode who thinks the world of us? Thinks we hang the sun and the stars? Jeff was everything to this sweet boy and now barcode has learned a hard lesson in putting all his trust in one person.
So so sad. It shouldn’t have been this way. They will be fine but I wouldn’t be surprise if it was never the same for Barcode again or it takes him a long time to get back to that place with Jeff again.

The real issues is the absolutely crappy way they sprang this on that kid. They should have prepared him he is an 18 year old boy not a grown man. I kinda understood why Barcode was ignoring him during the aftershow fanmeet. Barcode didn't know Jeff's plan to leave BOC until he revealed it during the World Tour. And he must have been disappointed since of anyone in BOC, he should have been at least 2nd to know, or even 3rd or 4th.
But he only learned it when Jeff revealed it at the same time to the fans. He must have felt angry, wronged, abandoned and betrayed.
Because Jeff was a big brother to him, a coach, a parntner, a protector and bestfriend.
Jeff was wrong to keep it from him until the last minute. However I also understand why he did it. Barcode would have been sad the entire tour and not have enjoyed as much as he did. Jeff must have wanted him to enjoy the entire tour that's why he only revealed his plans at the very end...
I admire their relationship, especialy as ship partners. I, as a fan, appreciate that Jeff took time to at least share it with the fans. Unlike with Jeff and his first pair, there were not even a word of explanation to fans and left us all lost and wondering what happened.
