Glad you liked it. I think it has a high microbial content so the foam binds together better than normal. Sometimes it even leaves impressions on the beach sand. I'm sure I've seen papers talking about those impressions as sedimentary structures in ancient beach sands.

I really enjoyed the video seeing such an interesting variety of rocks n stones. The one with the fossils is a really nice page from the book. When you mentioned Mudstones were you referring to the black ones ?

Thanks! Glad you liked it. Yup, the mudstone is usually grey to black in this area, like the cliffs at the very end.

Those are both nice places to look for rocks and fossils. Thanks for the invite but I live in Belgium and will be stuck in the lab for the forseable future with my new samples. :)

I get some European till arriving off the Yorkshire coast but Greenland! how? great video btw

I can't remember the exact process, it was years ago some one told me about it. They were trying to explain the presence of exotic crystalline rocks that didn't match UK, or Scandanavian basment and Greenland was the closest match.
