Sequel to the First Battle of Kharkov story. It has been several months since Oberlutnant Franz and his men took the factory in the city of Kharkov. Now they have been assigned defensive duties on the outskirts of the city where Soviet forces are massing a large counter offensive to retake the city. Will Franz and his men hold out?

That's a great decision in my view, I don't like alot of CGI in aniamtions.

I think Werner is one of my favourite characters in this the fact he's a sharpshooter and always survives I wonder if he will in future films.
Werner and Kessler will definetly be featured in my future animations. Since Kharkov 1, I have always wanted to delve deeper with their characters and why they are fighting. Maybe in the next film these two feature in we will be able to see more of them.

I want to see more Franz. I straight up named one of my Lego German soldiers that. He has the same face to. You also got me into LEGO WW2 and stop-motions.
Coming back on this nearly 2 years later. I'd say this is one of the best and underrated films.

Interesting combination of lego stop motion and ... real animation? ))) I mean grass, trees... they are drawings or what? In any case that's a great film and I don;t know why youtube don't recomend it.. I found it only because I was searching through your new videos manually
The trees and grass are cgi. I was unable to afford real grass n tree parts. Thanks! I don't know why either. I keep checking the search algorithm daily to see how its doing and it keeps falling into 3rd place or 4th on the first page. I just don't know why alot of my videos are slumping tbh 😕

The effects are really nice , despite being a little heavy. Sounds are spot on and the stop motion is very smooth as a whole! Gunshots are also perfectly done

Yes it was. There were several axis power groups involved in this battle but I couldn't cover all of them, so I decided to include the Italian forces to help further their recognition.

What happened to roglaan customs ive tried to go to there website but it doesn't exist
I think its because bricklink was bought by LEGO not long ago and went on a purge getting rid of none lego related items like Brickarms and such.

Fantastic!! Good animation. Is an Italian soldier at 1:08?? I saw the different uniform with the necktie 👔 that only Italian wore in ww2. However if I’m not wrong, there weren’t Italian troops in Kharkov. All in all it’s a great ww2 film🎥👍🏻

Amazing! What type of camera would I use to film a stop motion?
For the majority of my stopmotion I use a logitech c920 webcam, it's good having a camera attached to ur computer to u can look back on shots with the hassle of accidentally tilting the camera
When your weapons run out of ammo, the next things to use as a weapon is the back end of your rifle or a shovel

Thank you, and yes, although the story focuses on Franz I also wanted to point out that there were other axis forces serving in this conflict, maybe someday I will make an animation focusing just on the Italian army during ww2.
JedAnimationStudios i know it was about Franz but italian in a lego ww2 stopmotion havent seen one until now and iam glad you put other axis in the stopmotion because other axis forces are not getting any credits. And i hope you make a stopmotion that focusses about the italians

This animation and sound design is awesome. But I’m my opinion the foggy overlay could have been omitted. It seems a bit blurry to me. Overall really nice!

Perhaps after the third and fourth battle of Kharkov could you consider doing more videos of the eastern front showing this specific squad?
I was actually going to do more shorts about Franz and his squad so I could one day combine them into a bigger film about the German side of ww2, the final would be a lead up to another feature I hope to make someday

It seems like the Germans had the upper hand in this battle. The Soviets nearly flanked them. Such a high cost of casualties though for this engagement.
The video for the First Battle was better but good job
