    I'm so pleased to have found your channel - there aren't many that are specific to our area. I think I've only found one other channel (Stuart Gardens) that gives us dates and guidance for this beautiful part of the world. So between you and Stuart I'll hopefully time things correctly. Our climate is quite challenging, although you make it look easy! All the best for a successful Spring season.

    Wow I love idea of all the containers. I just never know what type of sun and shade is required and how much watering is needed. We want to start a community garden and to start with herbs but don't want any use of chemical insectacides. Do you have a DIY recipe we have alot of slugs and snails.

    • @BackYardGrowingSA
      @BackYardGrowingSA  Před 23 dny

      6 to 8 hrs of sun Mos plants need and most of the leafy greens need shade.
      Since I got a small garden I go out and pick them at night but I've seen many ppl use beer to catch them so u put beer in a plastic cup or maybe a tuna tin can n leave it over night in the garden n they will crawl into it n die
