Yes people plant your own vegetables and fruits. If you have a piece of ground, plant something, don't let your ground go to waste. Work your plot or ground. Happy planting 🎉

I'm so pleased to have found your channel - there aren't many that are specific to our area. I think I've only found one other channel (Stuart Gardens) that gives us dates and guidance for this beautiful part of the world. So between you and Stuart I'll hopefully time things correctly. Our climate is quite challenging, although you make it look easy! All the best for a successful Spring season.
Thank you very much lol on video every thing looks easy but it isn't like that lol
Just subscribed, thank you so much

Wow peas are nice and green mine is dying down and i have lime compost and bone meal in the ground and they not growing nicely like 3 year's ago but I'm living in a different area
Thank you. It could be the area they are in like maybe plant them in a more shady area but also mine like this because it's been raining since June and I never watered them since June and the weather wasn't so hot.
Thank you i will try next year @@BackYardGrowingSA
Hi excited to see your channel. Please cover Pretoria area specifically, weather wise etc🙏🙏🌿🌿

Finally, I get to watch someone in Mzansi🥰, though I am inland in the Free State. I have already planted few seeds in the container waiting for germination and some have germinated, can you please do update as I have seen most of my germinated seeds are leggy, Don't worry I will also binge watch your previous video posted as I have just found your channel. I think i might find answers
Lol awesome with the leggy seedlings is because they not in a open sunny place so they trying to fine the sun

I plant Ashley cucumbers every year in September and it grows as long as 32 cm and each tree gives me plus minus 10 cucumbers
That's awesome I only get 1 per tree do u hand pollinate them? Because after I harvest one the rest just keeps dying
@@shchnazbloem hi there,do you grow them on Trellis?? Or do you just left them growing on the soil ?? I don't have info of the Ashley cucumbers, this wil be my first time planting cucumbers (Ashley cucumbers)and another question, how long does the vines grow👍

hi :)
Your plants are nice n big for this time of the year. When did you plant it, though?
I planted them in April, may and June n the reason they look this way because most are winter crops
Very nice video. It would be nice to see the packet of seeds you are growing.
It's the starke ayres seeds I'm using
Lekka my bru.
Van Blackheath
Thanks man
Wow I love idea of all the containers. I just never know what type of sun and shade is required and how much watering is needed. We want to start a community garden and to start with herbs but don't want any use of chemical insectacides. Do you have a DIY recipe we have alot of slugs and snails.
6 to 8 hrs of sun Mos plants need and most of the leafy greens need shade.
Since I got a small garden I go out and pick them at night but I've seen many ppl use beer to catch them so u put beer in a plastic cup or maybe a tuna tin can n leave it over night in the garden n they will crawl into it n die
Hallo everybody watching this broadcast please pray with me for the plot where iam residing is a very dry stony rocky place very little sand ican only hope to have some progress in the next five years or so by hiring expensive machinery to losen some of the land and to also transport other soil there in order to plant there
For onions, will it affect the growth if you cut some of the leaves off for salads while it's still growing?
Yes and no cause I do it all the time the onion might not grow as big but it will still grow to be a good size
You can grow peas from cuttings
I didn't know that
What soil do you use ? I would like to get me a container garden also
I use potting soil and compost from stodels and my own home made compost.
That was good information. Just a question do the peas need support n what's sutuble
Yes it does anything it can climb up will do I'm using chicken mess for mine
I'm in North West, and it is already hot here. Can I still plant peas
Yes u can as it grow u can always cover it
Thk you sir for info I'm 78yrs old gardening is my favourite hobby then reading I can't dick so I'm using buckets to grow I'm in western cape
Pleasure.
That's really awesome maybe u can teach more about gardening,I use buckets n containers too because I don't have land to grow in
I have asked all the nurserys for pink Celery no one has it. Where did you buy yours.
I got it a few years ago from one of my subscribers
Hi. Where are you based. Winter rainfall area?
Cape Town
How do I get rid of hairy worms eating my turnip leaves
What I do if I have slugs or caterpillars I remove them myself.
Very nice
Thank you.
I normally plant my Dahlias in August it's raining an very wet 2022 I had beautiful flowers about 2metr high last year not so good as all the bills did not come up this year the bills where taken out it was not good only fount a few as you hardly find dahlia bulps at nursery
Do you buy all your seeds from stodels
No not only from stodels from starke ayres and hart nursery
What is a heat mat?
It's a mat that u can set how warm u want it to help heat loving plants to germinate faster .
Thanks ❤🎉😢❤🎉
