You’re saving my life. May or may not have spilled polish remover on my grandmothers table. May or may not have to sand and stain it to fix it. 🤦🏼‍♀️

10/10 this video is really good and informing. A lot of the other videos I watched although showed the process they didn’t really explain it that well.

I want to sand a stain the top of a dresser to put in a bathroom for storage. Do I need to use something additional to help protect it from moisture in the bathroom?

One question! I’ve heard and read mixed things.
Does sanding the stain release toxins into the air?

Did you clean the piece after you sanded it and before you stained it? And if so what did you use to clean it?

Find a marketplace next to a military base, probably find the whole house for 20 so they don’t have to move it when they move.

I used citrus stripper to remove my polyurethane on my table, it removed a few of the coats, but not all of it, leaving the table "splotchy" with some layers thicker than others, i then used a copper wire scrubber and mild MR. BROWNN's soap, and let it dry, I then Sanded with orbital sander 150, it took off the remaining topcoat exposing the bare wood on the sides of the table, but the top had spots that were bare wood, and others with some thicker areas than others, i then went down to the 60 grit sandpaper with my orbital sander... I don't think it did much... without wanting to damage my table, I STOPPED. Turned to youtube... how to i get rid of the spotty finish, to get to the bare wood. i don't want to over-sand it because some of the bare wood is showing. but it looks almost like cow print. THANKYOU CITRUS STRIPPER FOR NOT WORKING because of the California laws... i cant get ahold of the main ingredient that's in the paint stripper, what do i do? I NEED THE BARE WOOD, SO I CAN bleach the wood, then add the whitewash stain to it.

I had the same exact experience with citrus stripper 😒. I ended up having to paint the table.

I guess this isn’t for beginners? No discussion on cleaning and no sanding guidance as far as how fast, overlapping or not, how to tell if you’re ready for a finer grit, etc. is the stain water based or oil based? I go to store to buy things and read the labels. But they don’t explain what situation to use which product. The all say to clean. This video makes it not seem worth it to clean.

You should wear a face mask for these projects. Especially trying to show your work projects for the health of others. Be smart
