Very easy to understand, very informative, very straightforward and friendly! Thanks so much for making this for us amateur woodworkers
You’re saving my life. May or may not have spilled polish remover on my grandmothers table. May or may not have to sand and stain it to fix it. 🤦🏼♀️
That's how I ruined my table lmao
10/10 this video is really good and informing. A lot of the other videos I watched although showed the process they didn’t really explain it that well.
Love the humor. This is not a boring video.
It’s so hard to find a good video covering this topic! Quick and to the point! Thank you!
easy to understand and straight to the point. Thank you so much for this. I'm in need to restain a lot of furniture at home and this is extremely helpful
Very helpful! I found a tiny mid century coffee table in a back alley and I want to give it a makeover :)
Thanks for this! I needed a quick brush up on how to do it since it has been so long!
Great vid, love the visual thank you!
Damn girl you’re killing it 😌
This was awesome, thank you 🙏🏻
You already know this but, you’re funny. Keep it up.
I want to sand a stain the top of a dresser to put in a bathroom for storage. Do I need to use something additional to help protect it from moisture in the bathroom?
Thank you!
Nice simple video thanks
Could you please confirm what a poly (top coat I'm assuming) is?
How can I change a cherry wood curio cabinet to a golden oak by sanding it , and what can I finish it with fit a nice shine
Awesome vid! I’d highly encourage investing in a respirator mask… even though it’s hot 😅
thanks to U AND Ellie!
Will try this on automobile wood panels
Very helpful, and straightforward, easy to see everything (high quality video), thank you.
One question! I’ve heard and read mixed things.
Does sanding the stain release toxins into the air?
Yes
Did you clean the piece after you sanded it and before you stained it? And if so what did you use to clean it?
what colour is the stain!?
Thank You
Feels like im drinking wine and kind of gliding through staining some wood. Nice break from the internet dads.
Good job. And you are soo beautiful
What if you didn't sand with the grain
That kid strong asf💀😭
For the love of God please don’t move heavy objects without shoes on!! My whole body was tingling watching you and Dillon’s feet!
😍
I just ordered a dresser and it came in the wrong color.can I sand it down and turn it lighter this way also? and should I do this before or after its put together
It’s all of it is real wood, sure! A lot of new furniture isn’t though…
And I personally think it’s easier after.
You're gorgeous 😍😍
What shade of stain is this?
Provincial!
What color is the stain?
Provincial
A bit out of pocket but Im in love
Where can I find a dresser for $20 🤷🏽♂️
Garage sales, habitat restore, Nextdoor. Got one myself that’s why I’m here.
facebook marketplace homie
Find a marketplace next to a military base, probably find the whole house for 20 so they don’t have to move it when they move.
I used citrus stripper to remove my polyurethane on my table, it removed a few of the coats, but not all of it, leaving the table "splotchy" with some layers thicker than others, i then used a copper wire scrubber and mild MR. BROWNN's soap, and let it dry, I then Sanded with orbital sander 150, it took off the remaining topcoat exposing the bare wood on the sides of the table, but the top had spots that were bare wood, and others with some thicker areas than others, i then went down to the 60 grit sandpaper with my orbital sander... I don't think it did much... without wanting to damage my table, I STOPPED. Turned to youtube... how to i get rid of the spotty finish, to get to the bare wood. i don't want to over-sand it because some of the bare wood is showing. but it looks almost like cow print. THANKYOU CITRUS STRIPPER FOR NOT WORKING because of the California laws... i cant get ahold of the main ingredient that's in the paint stripper, what do i do? I NEED THE BARE WOOD, SO I CAN bleach the wood, then add the whitewash stain to it.
I had the same exact experience with citrus stripper 😒. I ended up having to paint the table.
Your Beautiful
I guess this isn’t for beginners? No discussion on cleaning and no sanding guidance as far as how fast, overlapping or not, how to tell if you’re ready for a finer grit, etc. is the stain water based or oil based? I go to store to buy things and read the labels. But they don’t explain what situation to use which product. The all say to clean. This video makes it not seem worth it to clean.
you should wear a face mask and gloves
I live dangerously.
@@letsmakeit_diy lol
You should wear a face mask for these projects. Especially trying to show your work projects for the health of others. Be smart
