Thank you for replying. The American medical school system confuses me a lot. In my country, Peru, you simply go to med school for 7 or 8 years and then go on to residency/specialty. Oh and one year of social service at a rural location.
Why was columbia your dream school? If you thought undergrad was tough, med school and residency will be like a navy seal bootcamp! 😂 Edit. Big oof on albert einstein. Its also in nyc and free tuition is 100s of thousands in debt and interest. Thats a down payment on a house!

It doesn't make sense to forego free tuition. In the end the school you go to doesn't matter as much as the residencies you do.
