    Wow, these little tips are fantastic! I like the Vise grip technique with the cardboard, and I like watching the plastic bag with the Grip Puppies. I was always using hairspray. Your way is so much Cleaner. I love it, Thank you

    I replaced my RE bar end ends with smaller CNG mirrors. Lower with much better visibility around your body and look cooler too.

      I agree... a couple months ago I replaced these bar end mirrors in the video with smaller CRG lanesplitter bar end mirrors. They look better and I like how they fold in when I park my motorcycle in tight spots in teh garage.

    At 2.53 similar to the tools, used Vice grips and 5 Allen key to remove. I’m unable to do it, however the chrome cover still moves with the Allen key, used Vicegrips to hold it.

    I would really love to see how it looks with the bar end mirrors downwards instead of upwards.

    • @RideWithJerry
      @RideWithJerry  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, I think they look better down (especially if you have lowered, clip-on bars) but haven't switched yet. I'm curious if you get the same visibility or if your hand/arms get in the way... I'll have to switch and test it out.

    This is for a Euro 4 bike fitting as the Euro 5 end caps are different and don't spin. The RE adaptors still have to be modified to fit properly as RE were to lazy to do.

    • @RideWithJerry

      I’m curious if the Euro 5 bar end insert has a larger diameter bolt. I bought finisher end caps and the provided bolt is too big.

    • @RideWithJerry
      @RideWithJerry  Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@darrenwilliams3398 Yes... in the video I show how I took them off. Held the endcap with plyers so it doesn't spin and then unscrewed the bolt. If you want to remove the entire bar inside the handlebars, you have to take off the grips. There is a pin under the grips you need to press to release.

    Hey there!
    Any idea how to remove the bar end inserts? I have a Hunter 350 and ordered bar end mirrors without looking at the bar end plugs first, and now I am bit panicking that I have to drill them out, as I don't seem to find a way to remove them easily.

    • @RideWithJerry
      @RideWithJerry  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Not sure about the 350, but on the 650, if you take off the grips you will find a hole with a tab you need to press to slide out the bar end inserts.

      @@RideWithJerry I ended up simply using a longer bolt and attaching the new mirror with that to the factory insert. Thanks for the info though, will check it out!

      Check the bars on your Classic 350, I think the mirros are different than on the Continental. These have caps that screw into the bar end rather than slip over the bars: ebay.us/xOEUoq
