Roman Reigns vs Samoa Joe Backlash 2018 Newark NJ for me . as someone whos local around the area Yeah i knew Roman was gonna win so i left in attendance to beat the traffic since downtown at night and ironically it was a chant during the match lol

My issue with the overall fued though was Drew McIntyre lost to Roman twice that year at two different pay per views one of those being WrestleMania. I was really big on Drew in 2019 needless to say I was elated when Drew won The Royal Rumble the following year 😊

Imo what made the attitude era good was that it was a little edgier, the characters like Stone Cold and The Rock and the fact that it was 2 wrestling companies going head to head trying to be the #1 show. Besides that I don’t see anything about the attitude era that’s better than what they do today. Their wrestlers today are wayyyyy more talented and athletic, the wrestlers are better taken care of, and I can’t even remember the last time Wwe put on a bad ppv. People just like to live in the past like everything in the attitude era was so good, no tf it wasn’t. It was just a hot time period in wrestling because of the reasons I gave🤷🏽♂️
