The Gates - Central Park, NYC

In February 2005 Central Park was transformed by artists Cristo and Jeanne-Claude. This videograph combines video images from several locations and documentation distributed at the exhibit. A soundtrack of ambient sound was added. Originally, my idea was to simply document an imaginative and temporary artwork. As I revisited the images, I was very aware of the limits of a camera viewfinder in conveying the sheer scale and physical experience of this event.
