I came up in 1980s Brooklyn and still live here. I’m a hip hop head to the core. NYC invented this artform. Biggie, Jay, Nas, Pun, Jeru, LL, KRS, Eric B-all of em. But imo the UK over the last decade has been absolutely murdering hip hop. Knucks to me is one of best lyricists and rappers of all time anywhere. Everything about him and his work resonates with me. His beat selection (and beatmaking), rhyme schemes, voice, storytelling ability, video direction. Everything. The man is a wrecking ball. I get the chills off his sh1t. Much love to the UK from the US for work like this.
