I can't help but gush over this image. That looks _just_ like the original background redone in HD.
Any worries I had about this reboot: nearly gone.

I love Joe and I wonder if it will be similar to the last few episodes of season four where where we meet Joe and then Slowly they gave the audience more exposer to Joe and tell Steve left for college in the finale of season four that is my prediction that they are going to do some similar to that.

Ooh this would be a really good idea! And it may make more sense given the fact that they revamped Joe's outfit. Like why would they do that if he was only gonna be around for the first episode? :O

Maybe they are keeping Steve's appearance a surprise as for why he is not is costume for the crew pic.
Yeah, I am not really found of Sidetable being more curved. Aside from the white stripes on the wallpaper and Periwinkle's house being visible from the window next to the thinking char rather than the left of the house, the set looks great. But this revival will be much better than the Teletubbies reboot.

2:40: I...did not notice that. You're right, the carpet IS impressive.
3:00: I get the impression that this "real, but cartoony" look is what we're going to see across the board in the designs, and I'm OK with that. :)
4:47: Yeah, the fact that Joe is here in character does make me think we'll get a handoff of some kind. Cool. :)
5:21: Yes, you're right--the only thing Joe had that was multicolored was his pajamas. That's...that's the only thing in this photo i'm gonna nitpick. If Joe IS indeed in the first episode, it's going to look SUPER weird seeing him in a multicolored shirt (if he's wearing it) and purple shoes. But, small nitpick (though the Internet will probably make it way bigger than it should be. #ugh ;)
6:15: See, here's what's weird: As a HUGE BC fan myself...I was actually OK with the idea of them starting from scratch, simply because....well, that's how the ORIGINAL started. We were thrown into the game in Episode 1 with no additional explanations than the usual rules.....and heck, that worked just fine. (But I am not against Joe showing up. At all. Even with his....different wardrobe. ;)

At 12;45 in that video, Angela pretty much confirms that they are redoing "Snacktime," the first episode, for this reboot, and I would not be surprised if it is indeed the first episode in the reboot (or maybe the second, the first Josh solo, if there's a transition episode) because snacktime was also the topic of the first Blue's Room episode. #tradition :)

And you're right, it probably is gonna be his first stand alone episode that they'll do Snacktime as it'd be a strange plot for a hand off.

Also, the one thing I forgot to include in my comment:
You said that when the reboot was announced, you were wary at first (and understandably so)
What's really funny is.... NOT me.
When she announced it on her site (angelasclues.com/blues-clues-is-back/) well, go down and look at the first comment--I kind of...freaked out a little. :) This is because, as I allude to clumsily in said comment, I have been wary of an Angela project before, the afore-discussed by us Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, being that Mr. Rogers WAS my kid show growing up....and when she NAILED that (at least, IMO, a very well done tribute show) I decided, okay, I'm going to trust her. Not to say her shows are perfect (no show ever is) but the fact she and Traci are helming this re-imagining of THEIR OWN show....man, I have been pumped for this from announcement day. :)
PS: Don't read too much into that Sprinkles request; we don't know if Blue's Room will show up, and the more I think about it, the more I realize that Sprinkles might only fit in Blue's Room. It would be so cool to see him in this show....buuuuuuuut he might not be needed. We shall see. :)
Yeah, knowing that they're both in charge of this reboot makes it much less of a worry. It's not like it's some new random people, it's the same amazing people who made the show we live, and I'm sure they'll make it awesome :D
And yeah, you have a point. He does fit a bit more in the Blue's Room world. Though that does bring up the question, if Joe and Steve are canon in this reboot making it a continuation of the original show, then what are we supposed to assume happened to Blue's Room and Sprinkles? It'd be a bit weird for it to have existed in the lore of the show just to suddenly disappear. Maybe it'll still exist but be more of a once in a blue moon thing that they revisit with Sprinkles being a recurring character in those special bits. Either way whatever happens with them, I hope that Blue's Room doesn't fully return. It wasn't my favorite thing, and it took a lot away from the show by having to rush the episode to get to it. At least in my opinion.
@@ItsaTechReel Being Mr. Contrarian that I am, you will not be surprised to learn that I really liked the idea of Blue's Room and what Angela was trying to do with it (give preschoolers a voice and not JUST give rote answers out. (As I told you on Twitter, I think "Daniel Tiger" is "Blue's Room" perfected. :) ) I will say that I liked the episodes more than the segments and thought it REALLY got good when Joe and Sprinkles became regulars. I like your idea of sporadic Blue's Rooms--maybe if the reboot takes off, they can do that for specials. :)
PS: Once in a blue moon--HA! :) You may not even realize you made a joke there, but it's a good one. (If you saw the Blue's Room intro episode, you'll know why I laughed.

Good question. I don't know though. Possibly. I mean if Sidetable and Blue are any indication it definitely seems that they're going with more realistic textures this time around. And since clocks are usually made of metal or plastic then it'd make sense for Tickety to be a bit shiny. I dunno for sure, but it's definitely very possible, probable even :)
When the show premieres in November, are you gonna do a reaction to it?
Yeah, I'd love to do a reaction to it! I'll probably have to edit it around a bit or fiddle with it in some way so copyright won't be a problem, but yeah I'd love to try :D
