- The plaintiffs rented an apartment from the defendant. They claim the defendant doesn’t even own the property and she moved in without the landlord’s permission. They are suing for rent, a security deposit, and a pet deposit. The landlord argues the defendant doesn’t even pay rent. The defendant says she rented a house a from the landlord and then rented one floor to the plaintiffs. She doesn’t think she owes the plaintiffs.

Well seeing as this case is several years old I'm sure by now she's probably already been locked up before and after this case aired. Also with people like her they do these kind of things so many times that's the reason why they believe their lies, and also believe they're so convincing because they rehearsed it over and over again.

I’m so glad the landlord agreed to show up with the plaintiff. He could’ve said ‘no’ but he was cool about it and went with them. His testimony pretty much sealed the defendant’s fate here

I literally had this happen to me in college. A roommate and I found a place through a realtor. We rented from this lady and lived there for about 9 months before we got a notice on the door saying we were being evicted. We asked the LL about it and she said not to worry, it was a mistake and she would take care of it. Next thing we know all our stuff is on the sidewalk. I was like 19 at the time. Turns out our landlord NEVER owned the house, and the bank was foreclosing on the real owner who lived out of state. We never got a dime back.

Crazy how that works. There was another case on here where the landlord literally threw all the tenants stuff out and changed the locks.
When the judge asked if she knew that was illegal, she told her yes and that paying the fine was better than the year long battle to get them out, possible vandalism to the home while they're there and all the income from a new tenant she would miss out on.
