Full of fun, friendship, love, morals, and character, with a great storyline and excellent acting. Thank you so much for it.

Fisherman's Friends NEVER fail to cheer me up . Their brilliant harmonies, smiles as they sing their beloved shanties, and all the jolly banter that goes on between them soon has me smiling . Mind you " Cousin Jack " brings tears , but it's the tune ,not their singing ! Proper Job Guys, thank you so much for everything ! .
Watching these Chalutiers working the oggin reminded me of my father when he left Denmark on his trawler 85 years ago and came to England and enlisted with the Royal Navy. His singing not as arousing as the Cornish boys. Cedric the Sardine 😂😂
My dad and I used to listen to the Fisherman's Friends together. In fact, it was one of his favorite bands. The last couple years the both of us suffered from depression and anxiety and this song brought us a light. Now, a couple days after my dad passed, this song gives me an incredible happiness that reminds me he's still watching and that this road to nowhere has somewhere to go after all. Thank you, Fisherman's Friends.

I'm a baymen and the son of a fishermen & sailor here in Newfoundland Canada. The soul in your music gives me goose bumps, thank you for sharing your hearts, souls and voices with the world.
I spent summer of '95 at Rocky Harbour working at Gros Morne NP as my placement for my degree. Loved the place, the music, the people. Spent the summer listening to The Irish Decendants, Spirit of the West and Buudy Watshisname and the other fellow. Just been talking about Lobsters today and get some from Norris Point. What a place to live.
I found it sad that when I listened to this I couldn't think of one single song from the last decade that has the same effect on me as music like this.... These guys are amazing!
I sing with a sea chanty band in New Jersey (The Sea Dogs). These guys area really great. It's all about connection. Between the sea and people. Between people of different groups. Between people and their own history. I love this song. I love how it makes me feel. No matter how bad my today might be. I hear something like this and I know it's still a good day.
Heard today about a film which tells how the Fisherman's Friends were discovered and signed to their record label. An excerpt of this song was played as part of the radio interview, so I'm glad to have found it on here. It's a grand bit of singing and you can hear every word, unlike so many of the so-called 'popular' music of today.
I have just watched the film yesterday and it was brilliant, really enjoyed it, sad teary bit in it as well as some good comedy and history, it's not for old folks it's a brilliant story for those who love a good wholesome story.
The music is like the first hint of dawn after a dark night, a ray of sunshine after a storm -- I suffer from severe bouts of depression, but it's music like this that makes me fight back, get up again, and eventually pick up the guitar myself again because my heart is once more full of hope and music. For this, my eternal thanks to the band and everyone involved in the production of my now No. 1 Comfort Movie ( Russell Crowe and "A Good Year" are now reduced to #2 place..)
Love the movie on Netflix. We were delighted it is a true story! My son bought Fishermens Friends Lozenges at a WAWA store in FL. Blessings to all Fishermens Friends. MC
what i find impressive is that they are literally singing history, these songs have been sung by fishermen and sailors in general for hundreds of years
I'm buisy moving from my home town seventeen hours away to my new job, and for the entire drive over whenever I would be feeling down or homesick I would turn on this song and by the end I'd be singing along and looking forward to all the new opertunities opening before me.

They're doing a UK tour later this year so you might be able to see it, have a look on Ticketmaster UK for the venues, I've booked Sheffield City Hall in September.

This was such a beautiful movie. I've been up dancing and cleaning instead of sitting and watching it still. Beautiful music that reminds me of my grandpa. He was such a beautiful Irishman. I miss him with all my heart.
Fishermans friends has helped me from the brink more than once. I wish I could get a picture signed by them. Life achievement kinda stuff. Best wishes and may the winds forever be at your backs. Ta.
I feel like I'm being seduced by the song of a pied piper to throw down my briefcase, give my wallet to a child with the only instruction to do something fun, and run into the forest laughing and twirling though the leaves in bare feet. I love it!
"But look! here come more crowds, pacing straight for the water, and seemingly bound for a dive. Strange! Nothing will content them but the extremest limit of the land; loitering under the shady lee of yonder warehouses will not suffice. No. They must get just as nigh the water as they possibly can without falling in. And there they stand-miles of them-leagues. Inlanders all, they come from lanes and alleys, streets and avenues-north, east, south, and west. Yet here they all unite." + Herman Melville
I think in my case, that pied piper, or better still a kilted piper, would give me a shilling and my youth again, a Lee-Enfield and 200 rounds tucked into a set of 58 webbing, and a chance to get back at the bastards whon have wrecked this epoch for us all. If I get to fire just one round at an unmissable mover and shaker, say Murdoch or Cummings, I'll feel I've had my money's worth. GOC probably Michael, platoon commander TE Lawrence, battalion commander maybe Rommel. Good men on whatever side, who deserved better. As did you and I.
The kind of song you've never heard before, but are singing along to by the second chorus - just amazing! Stumbled onto these guys after seeing an ad for the movie, and *sooooo* glad I did!😍🤗💗
My sister's family was having a really tough time of things this past year, and I had slept over one night, for a morale boost. The next morning, I volunteered to drive her to work and the kids to school. "Uh, Uncle Andy....we just passed school...?" "WE AIN'T GOING! WE'RE GOING TO THE BAY!" and I told my sister, "Call off work, call the school! Tell 'em we're going down to fix the boat! It's an emergency!" "....but you don't have a boat!" "They don't know that!" and my niece pulled this up on her phone! We rented a skiff and cruised around the Delaware Bay in the bright October sun all day!
I have seen the film, I've heard the music. I would like to Thank You all down in Cornwall for returning something that could have been lost in the 21st Century forever and never heard and appreciated by the new generation. You have done the UK and most of all Cornwall Proud.

Sure, you can do that on Sunday. But you pay for that day with the six days prior.
*bilbo baggins voice* I’m going on an adventure!
The kind of song you've never heard before, but are singing along to by the second chorus - just amazing! Stumbled onto these guys after seeing an ad for the movie, and *sooooo* glad I did!😍🤗💗
This line-up - near enough the original - is by far my favourite sound. Before all sorts of things happened 😔
My sister's family was having a really tough time of things this past year, and I had slept over one night, for a morale boost. The next morning, I volunteered to drive her to work and the kids to school.
"Uh, Uncle Andy....we just passed school...?"
"WE AIN'T GOING! WE'RE GOING TO THE BAY!" and I told my sister, "Call off work, call the school! Tell 'em we're going down to fix the boat! It's an emergency!"
"....but you don't have a boat!"
"They don't know that!"
and my niece pulled this up on her phone!
We rented a skiff and cruised around the Delaware Bay in the bright October sun all day!
