So Dr. Phil was trying to sound like a know it all when most likely he was told that thru his ear piece from the producers and that's not what she said at all. And I think dr phil realized that which is why he quickly started talking to the niece.

Delusion is something I don't understand. I get anger, I get trauma, denial, but delusion mystifies me. I met a woman recently who works as a massage therapist and thinks major artists are talking to her through their music and that she's dating them. To talk to her at first, you might think these were real relationships. I just don't get how someone gets in that frame of mind or gets out of it.

@Dark Heart Usually it's the parents that cause such damage in the first place. It's more like the other way around. She certainly needs help, but she should probably stay away from her family. A lot of that story is pretty ludicrous. But the molestation very well may have happened. It's not like he'd say, "Oh yeah, I did that." The only reason people believe him is because she is delusional about other stuff. Maybe the molestation had this effect on her, maybe the fact that no one believed her made her this way.

When I worked in social services with clients, I had one client who wouldn't come into my office because there was a fire extinguisher in the ceiling. Of course this client was convinced there was a camera in it. There are millions like her.

Feel free to disagree, but I think she may be telling the truth and her scattered thoughts are due to extreme anxiety. 😣 I have Generalized Anxiety disorder and Panic Disorder (among others :( (PTSD, depression) and my thoughts often jump around when I’m anxious and I can have difficulties remembering the topic of conversations part way through. It’s VERY frustrating to “blank” and forget what I just said due to anxiety. Coming from someone who used to be very well spoken, it drives me nuts! Lol. No, Dr. Phil. 1/3 of the FEES for the settled cases. The FEES are often 1/3 of the TOTAL SETTLEMENT. She means that she would get 1/3 of the fees or about 11% of the total settlement. This is not an uncommon arrangement for attorneys. However mistaken or even delusional she may be on the conspiracy stuff, she is not talking nonsense about her fee arrangement with her father.
