His brother never got to see him win 2 superbowls Smith would win one that year and won with the eagles.
Chiefs Kingdom i’m sure he saw from somewhere else like Heaven
I know I thought the same thing, it kinda broke my heart
Francisco Martinez rip :(
That Superbowl was rigged. 49ers would've won if the flash didnt start
tlknight '02 AFC championship game was rigged. Your point?
Came here to watch this after Torrey announced his retirement today. One of the all-time greatest individual performances after such a gut-wrenching emotional loss -- I don't know if I could even function, let alone go out and destroy an entire pro football team singlehandedly. Mad respect to Torrey. 💯
Mike Palmer he’s my favorite player ever no joke I have his sb jersey framed a. That first touchdown he caught this game I framed
I have a Boldin super bowl jersey
Smh thats crazy
charles donohue Hey dumbass, he said the greatest performance after an emotional loss. Dumbass.
What happened to him? He just completely fell off after he left the Ravens
1 hour sleep, 127 yards, 2 tds, brother death. same day.
Amazing
N.E. defence sucked though but his game stats still good
@@trevor2082 it doesn't matter how bad the defense is when you're on 1 hour of sleep
Amazing how fast your life can change 😞
I’m gonna go with no sleep, u don’t really sleep when shit like that goes down.. no sleep and still accomplished what u said.. unreal!
I still think the 2012 Ravens are the most overlooked Super Bowl team. That entire season was like a movie for them. Art Modell’s death before the season, this game, Ray Lewis’s injury and return for the playoffs for one last ride, Suggs not playing until week 7. It was the most roller coaster ride season I’ve ever seen, and in my view the greatest playoff run of all time.
josh36047 You forgot it was the last time Joe Flacco was worth his contract...Except he didn’t have that huge contract in 2012
The Eagles Super Bowl run was better
Yurri he was worth it in 2014 too when he went into Pittsburgh and won in the playoffs and had four touchdowns in New England and nearly won that game too
BF Network Eagles had two home games, a bye week, and a completely healthy roster with the exception of Wentz. The only real “upset” they had was in the Super Bowl. Ravens had to go into Denver as 11 point underdogs and into New England as a 9 point underdog and won both of those games, with the greatest QB postseason run of all time, AND their greatest player retiring.
josh36047 I’m so glad you thought 2 games one of which they didn’t even win is worth 6 years 120 million
Nothing but massive respect for that man...😓

Torrey Smith has now retired, respect for this man 😥
True
So many people forgot about how dominant of a deep ball receiver Smith was early in his career, he was about as dominant as anyone in the game. I remember when I used to be a patriot hater and was watched this game in awe as to how someone could not only play, but dominate a game after something so tragic, his brother was definitely with him on the field that night
This is what made Flacco so good. A good possesion receiver in Boldin, a deep ball threat in Torrey, reliable TE play with Dickson(when he could catch) and Dennis Pitta. a fantastic running game with Ray Rice. Hopefully we can get back to this formula this year in 2018-2019 with Crabtree, Brown/Moore, Alex Collins and Hurst/Andrews
You forgot the fact he was in a contract year, like he is now, when you combine that with the Lamar Jackson draft, Flacco has no excuse not to be motivated. The 2015 Broncos showed that a great defense can carry sub-par QB play to a Super Bowl. It will also help them that the Bengals and Browns are in a rebuilding state and the Steelers defense was abysmal late last year without Shazier.
@@darkchocolate3390 Don't forget about the other receivers like Snead and Perriman

How can you pull that off with that much of a heavy heart.
Demi's Place it seems that some athletes thrive on those moments, you can't explain it but it's motivation on a totally different level
This also happened with Brett favre he had a hell of a game right after tradgedy
Light Yagami Yeah, on Monday Night Football right after his father died, no less. That game is easily one of the best single performances of any player, ever.
You Leave It All On The Field🙏🏾
At that point, you focus and let your body take control. Numbness takes over and it feels as if someone else is controlling your motion. It's an emotional feeling, but it gives you strength and power. It's associated with the same receptors in your brain, that control (fight or flight).
People probably dont realize, that he played this game, on virtually no sleep...
He left baltimore for virginia at 1:30am, which is a 4 hour drive one way. He probably spent from 6am, to 1pm with his family, drove back to Baltimore and arrived at 5pm, to check in, warm up and prepare, and play at 8:15pm that same night. Amazing dedication from this man. Without a doubt, Tevin was watching. RIP.
This ravens team was special
Yep mainly because they got revenge from the AFC Championship the year prior by beating the Pats in the regular season and in the AFC Championship, and gettin another ring so Ray Lewis could retire on a positive note, took me a while to realize he was with Baltimore since 1996 which was their inaugural season, and that he was the only Raven with the team for both Super Bowls
chad yager yes it was
it was definitely special to goodell and the referees. I'm sure the ratings money was greatly enjoyed. Basically has multiplied by four since 2000.
Yeah bro, just look at Ray Rices run against the Chargers for the first down. Team of destiny
@@betterrightthanleft2981 there is no such thing as destiny, what there is is the refs rigging the games on a yearly basis

Still makes me tear up. From a Steelers fan I couldn’t be more proud of that young man and his fight and tenacity that night.
What a role model - a hero on and off the field - The NFL is better for having this decent amazing young man - I am proud to be from Baltimore and having had many wonderful Sundays cheering for all but especially Torrey Smith - God bless him and his beautiful family now and always.

Man his speech in the locker room at the end, just hits me like a ton of bricks. I've gone through the loss that this man experienced, and my heart goes out to him for being so strong so close to when it happened.
The uprights extends through the Heavens. You got 60 brothers right here
I’m a pats fan but I was also a huge fan of him his whole career. Sad to see him go.
Patriots fan here and I definitely remember this game. R.I.P to lil bro and great game for Torrey 💯
As an Eagles fan who only got to watch him close for one year, you could even tell then... dude has the clutch-gene. He would be silent in unimportant regular season wins but would come through during the playoffs. He can rise to a moment even under horrible circumstances, good dude all around.
also the game where Al Michaels referred to a very very loud "bullshit" chant from the fans as a "manure" chant lol
I've lost my Uncle, my grandparents, and even someone who was like a big sister to me, my cousin (she was 35) but I can't imagine losing one of my younger siblings.
It might break me for a while.
I know that i lost two younger siblings. My sister and baby brother
I lasted it until the speech and when he broke down in the locker room then the tears started, I got to see this man go into my city and help bring us a championship you will forever be remembered in Philadelphia much respect to your Torrey rest in peace to your bro.
Goosebumps all over, and tears in my eyes after that first TD. I still remember this game like it was yesterday, I needed to add a wide receiver for my fantasy team, and I was debating on picking up Torrey off the waiver wire because I thought maybe he'd play with extra motivation, but I didn't know. Long story short, I didn't pick him up, moral of the story: NEVER underestimate the power of someone whose playing for someone, I've seen people play on a a different level when they play for someone after a loss. Playing a game, any game for the glory of God and a tribute to someone you love, is a beautiful thing. God bless everyone who reads this, may you all cherish the simple moments with loved ones.
this brought tears to my eyes
i dont know where id be without my siblings.

So glad Torrey Smith is with Carolina. I believe his stats will be higher, for one he hasn't been involved as much as he should the past few seasons. People seem to forget how Ted Ginn Jrs career was falling before he came to carolina and caught 10 tds then was seen as a legit threat. Mark my words Torrey Smith will have over at least 600-700 yards hopefully double digit tds tbh
If he stops dropping passes -_-
He was a beast in Baltimore. Sad once he left he never kept that same form
Great sound and picture quality. Editing on point too!!
Wow, what a player. Real sorry for his loss. I think most everybody did a great job rallying around him through the course of the whole game giving him the support that he needed.
Ravens played for alot of people this year. Glad we took home the chip too.
Made tears come in my eyes 😭
Torrey Smith isn't just a great ballplayer, he is a great person. When he was in Baltimore he did a lot of charity events including one in my little rinky-dink town so far north in Maryland it was almost in Pennsylvanian (in fact the same pizza shop hosted an event with the Steelers as well) and Torrey Smith went to it. The other Ravens players seemed a little tired which you can expect from people who probably did a lot of these types of events... but not Torrey. He was lively, he wanted to talk to everyone, shake everyone's hand, and be in as many pictures as he could. He was a well spoken down to earth guy that really enjoyed what he did and loved meeting the people that watched him every Sunday.
I hope when he eventually retires the Ravens can sign a 1 day deal with him to retire him as a Raven. I know _everyone_ in Maryland still remembers him fondly.
Still remember watching this game. Couldn’t even imagine the emotional pain he was going through that night. I was so happy to see him ball out! Happy he came home to retire a Raven too. Much love, Torrey 💜
