@@brendac2031 because everyone else never really treated him with the kindness and help that he shouldâve gotten, he didnât even get love or affection from his parents and quite the opposite from Mitsuki specifically. So because of how he isnât used to it, he always took it as Deku looking down on him and taking pity. Meanwhile Bakugou didnât even know how to approach that so he came to the conclusion that that meant Deku looked down on him, trying to get close to him even though Bakugou is obviously not used to or how to approach close interactions like that.
You can even see him pushing everyone else away also, not only Deku. But Deku was the only one that stayed around and this really did confuse Bakugou.

I love how realistic the dynamic between these two is. Most people are looking for a very good reason for Bakugou to be the way he is, but realistically, some kids just end up like that when they get too much attention. They naturally become the âcool kidsâ and then all that ego goes to their head. In the end, they care so much about mantaining that reputation to have other peoples validation, that they end up building up a lot of anger and pain inside, they wear a mask. The thing is, childhood experiences are the foundation for everything that comes afterwards. And Bakugou grew up thinking that was how he would survive always and fit in, by being proud, by not showing any âweaknessesâ, by humiliating others. It seemed to work for his childish mind back then, so it stuck with him. Bullys are mean, but in reality they are very tragic people and emotional cowards. They would never ever dare to show their weak spots. And Bakugou hated Deku because he was honest, transparent, sensitive, and he wanted to really help Bakugou and care for him. But Bakugou didnât want to seem weak. He got obsessed with being the strong kid, and since Deku was so clumsy and sweet he constantly messed with him to get other peoples approval. But despite all he did, Deku never stopped being a compassionate and sweet guy. And this made Bakugou furious. The way this show just portrays the mind of a bully is genius. đđŒđ

I forgot to say so many resent, hate, and envy others for being able to do what they can't. They make them feel bad about themselves and most don't want it.
This is exactly what I think as well.
Dekuâs mom is my favorite character because she reminds me a lot of my own mom. She makes sure her child always feels loved and taken care of. My mom was a single mother as well but she never made me feel like I was an inconvenience or a burden to her even though Iâm sure it wasnât as easy as she made it look. Moms like this deserve only the best things in lifeâ€ïž

Watching this physically hurt me. Seeing him cate so much and then not getting the only thing he wanted was brutal. And the horrible part is that Bakugou could have helped, just by being his friend the way they'd always been and accepting his support and he didn't. Midoriya would've bounced back if they'd let him, but they kept shoving him over because he didn't win at quirk roulette. And no one helped him or kept him safe. That's their job. And they failed. Izuku was the only one trying to stop Bakugou from growing up as an arrogant turd and a bully because the people who were supposed to do it couldn't get it together. Would've been a lot different if they'd just let him be.

He was self-conscious because everyone expected him to be the best due to his quirk being powerful and that made him quick to defend himself to potential threats. He always thought Deku was looking down on him because nobody was treating him like a "weakling". So anytime Deku tried to help it was like: "You can't even help yourself. Do you see me as that helpless? Am I weak?" That was the reason behind his bullying - to prove to Deku that he was strong, if Deku was beneath him then he was assured. (You can also see this when Deku gained One for All and slowly started building himself up. With each step Katsuki becomes more desperate and lashes out. Contrary to the way he is after the kidnapping. His mom just tries to get him in the correct mindset - the words she used are because of her own anger towards her child of nearly losing him to some villains. It's not right but everyone is human and it's not abuse. Just a classic Asian parent being protective of their child.
