it doesn't matter that he's not a great defender, is inconsistent, and every other valid critique of mac. 38 points is 38 points. every single player on little rock is a D1 player. this performance is not the new norm for him, but more like a preview of what's to come more regularly. if he and akinjo can stay together, georgetown will have the most exciting (if not flat out best) backcourt in college by their junior year. ewing took a risk investing in the future by giving these kids minutes. can't wait to see where they end up.

What an exciting game - you couldn't ask for a more thrilling outcome. Mac is fearless and athletic. Agree that Akinjo is the better shooter but Mac brings pizzazz as he drives to the basket! He can really fire things up. The energy he has! It's a double threat when Mac and Akinjo are in at the same time.

I’m a huge Georgetown Hoyas fan.... But I didn’t realize how good and talented that Little Rock team is. They can certainly play despite their record. Georgetown is up and coming. The recruiting looks like it’s getting better. Hopefully , in the next couple of years , they can sway a couple of those 5 star recruits that would normally go to Duke , Kansas, Kentucky and other big time schools , to come to Georgetown. But , I do like the young talent Georgetown has on the team. I wonder what happened to that big 7’3 freshman we had last season.......??? I think his name was Chris odom... something like that
i like mcclung. i think he could've made an extra pass here and there to open teammates----but dude played well. i've always loved james akinjo's game. he's solid all around----but has just enough flash to where he's fun to watch.
Excellent observation about Mac needing to make the extra pass. I think that comes from playing in HS where he often didn't have someone else open to make the pass to. Ewing will talk to him about it.

Some no name schools do better in the NCAA tournament than big name colleges. It's hard to tell what teams are good til tournament time comes around. There are plenty of upsets and players that aren't popular show their talents.

Mac just needed time to adjust to the college game and him and Akinjo will just get better and better with experience.
