- Replacing the actuator motor for the AC/heater door. If the problem still exists, you ll have to replace the door also. If the door is stuck in one position (no heat or no cold or stuck in the middle) and the actuator work, you'll have to replace the door. Ther is a video on CZcams on how to remove it without taking apart the front dash, and is done thru the glove box (worst scenario -get ready to cut some stuff).

My father and I thank you with all of our heart. Middle of below freezing weather My dad's driving his truck with no heater. We followed your instructions and he is back to being comfortable thank you thank you thank you
This video is one of the best examples of how to do a how-to video for automotive. Thanks
Yup, thanks, genius video, no B.S. just showing how its done. Thanks a bunch. Saved me a bit of a headache knowing that frame came out first.
Incidentally the plastic heat duct screws, i believe are 5/16". There hard to see.
Thanks for making this video. Saved me a lot of time.
Awesome job on the video.
Thanks for the info. I was happy that my phone has a volume control so I didn't have to listen to the music. Hahaha
Talk to youtube about it asap
Great video, it’s straight to the point. Being a hillbilly from Tennessee, I didn’t mind the music.😂
Thank you. Every other video was showing people hacking the ducts to pieces.
This was sick!!!!
Very helpful 👌.. I appreciate ya'll 🇺🇸💕
What is that sliver box that was attached with the green screws that you removed first?
Great video
Can you please link the video for the door you are referring to in the description

Check this video . You ll get the idea .
@@eugeniujosanu279 Grazie mille
My AC works fine, heater quit working. Heater core checks out, new thermostat. Could this be my problem?
How long did this take complete from beginning to end?
It seems that I have the same problem, I just hope I don't have to replace the door. I did see the video of how to cut some stuff to replace it though.
If you got evrething ready, it should go not more then 1 h . Had cars before with replacing the door and the heater core .. not a fun job .
@@eugeniujosanu279 So I replaced my actuator because I wasn't getting any heat. I called a few shops and 1 didn't know how to go about repairing this and the other didn't know how to fix this. They suggested pulling the dash, 8 hours labor costing $1000. Even though mine was a little different, 2001 F150, all the info was basically the same. The savings was $949 because the part was $51 and it only took me about 2 hours.
Thanks for the video! My actuator 2002 motor isn't working and I'm still trying to get that screw out that is in the left side of the duct. I had to mute the music though! Ha!
I had better music on the vid .. got hit with copy writings claim .. so youtube using some lame free CZcams sounds.. sorry
have 2001 f 150 still can't find left side screw to vent
@@ROCCOCARD If it is like my 2002, there is a vertical support built into the vent and the screw is on the right side of that vertical support. It was very hard to get a socket on that screw.
@@williamwhite9767 thanks william for the reply got the right screw out its the left side can't find the screw i have a 2001 ford f 150 it should be the same
@@ROCCOCARD I suppose I wasn't clear enough. The vertical support built into the vent on the left side has a screw on the right side of that support. Hope this clears it up.
How’d you get the screw in the back of the blank vent?
1/4 extension will work just fine .
@@eugeniujosanu279 yea bro thanks man. Just got it down and everything. Great video
That back screw was a pain in the ass . I used a small 1/4 ratchet wrench
I have every thing out but that second screw on the black piece. How in the heck did you get to it?
With a small extension..
Could i manually turn the door until my actuator come in?
You should .. still have to take the old actuator out
Will this be the reason no air is blowing out the dash vents?
No .. this is just to switch from cold to hot . You either have a bad fan switch or fan I suppose..if u get some air blowing, may want to check for can air filter .
im having the same problem, my truck only shoots from defroster mode
Mine ended up being a broken vacuum line . Easy fix
I assume you checked each actuator to find the bad one?
Each actuator ? Haha . How many actuators you think it have man haha
I know just one , you passed the test just checking to see if any one else knew how many ha ha
can't find left side screw to vent your finger is in the way
This is useless
The all purpose of the video is so you won't look all over the place wher is located and to know what to expect . What exactly you expected to see - a dinosaur getting compressed into oil ??
C'mon man, loose the ignorant music.
Can t ..love it to much ..tell youtube to get some normal music
