Hi! I have a short question. Are fountain pens something uncommon in the US? Because in Europe the kids first write at school with pencils and then they have to learn to use fountain pens because it makes the handwriting look well nice. Do American students just go straight from pencil to ballpoint pen?
In school, American kids go from those big fat kid's pencils to regular pencils to mechanical pencils and if we feel fancy, ballpoint pen. Cursive is no longer taught in schools and they don't really care how nice your handwriting looks anymore.
In the US kids also start with pencils, and later to pens (usually when they are a bit older). Fountain pens are not common with students, however. As an artist, I like the versatility in line weight I can get with a fountain pen. 😊
I just got a pen that looks very similar at hobby lobby…it was $25 for the calligraphy set with a couple nibs and 4 carts of ink…though yours looks way better than mine as far as quality/aesthetics… Love this black and gold looks and the shiny plastic smooth feel. A
I can see this video was from a little while ago but I have a question. I have a few fountain pens and I can’t use them I struggle a lot. But I’ve never seen or heard of putting them in a glass of water first. What does this do would it help the flow of ink ? Cheers cherieK 🌈🦋🐿🇦🇺
Nostalgia from when my aunt would bring over fountain pens from Europe with the little ink cartridges that have that satisfying click 😻
What a lovely memory. ❤

In Latin America either. We also go from pencil to regular pen. I'm from Perú.

That a Scriveiner Expert? I've been on fence about getting one. I think the nib is iridium. I'm not a fan of iridium nibs (especially at that price).
I love mine. I have a different color. I also love the black ink it comes with does anyone know what ink that is??
How much cost of this fountain pen
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Bhai ye toh mere paas bhi hai
The nib is supposed to be facing up when storing it in the glass jar.
I think they were trying to get the ink to get to the nib first since it was just unboxed
If you push down on the pen, the end will open up.
That looks expensive
As far as fountain pens go, I don’t think it’s too bad. They were kind enough to send it to me and I’m excited to create some drawings with it! 😊
50 bucks
@@LeslieStroz thanks.
