I'm back to using my DSLR setup with dragonframe, and I think I'm starting to get the hang of the camera settings. Comparing these shots to the Omega Supreme ones and especially the Astrotrain ones it's like night and day. let me know what you think!
(excuse the dust spots though. I didn't notice them until after I started editing. I need to save up some coin to send the lens off to be dismantled and factory cleaned as it was used and the inside of it is filthy)

*Fun Fact about Earthrise Grapple:* The back of his thighs features molded in caution stripes which are a direct homage to the infamous error on Grapple's animation model. I'll refer you to Chris McFeely's The Art of the Transformers - Episode 4 to understand the full story.

@@devynsmith5280 I didn't notice it at first either since it isn't picked out in paint. Look at Grapple's thighs from the side, you should see a subtle diagonal pattern towards the back.

Grapple is among the few ER figures I'm thinking of getting for sure for how fun he looks especially if he repainted into Hauler for Selects. Also I do relate to how one would want to see the characters they grew up with or at least grew to love later on as they're depicted on a show as much as possible given as someone who grew up with BW I get told by some people on how there's no need to revist them for Generations since they're good enough as they are in the original BW line despite the fact on how both T30 and the MP BW figures have proven otherwise. So it's nice to see your favorite characters get this treatment at the end.
I'm blown away by your passion and the sheer amount of jokes in this two for one video.

That bit where Hoist throws Grapple was fantastic. Comedic and incredibly well animated. I don't know if that's says something about the articulation of the figures or your skill as an animator. Great job!

I loved Grapple and Hoist’s staring episode in G1, seeing these two both coming out in style is an absolute treat.
You can tell how much fun he had with grapple just with the way how he transforms in the last bit

You have DEFINITELY improved, if that's even possible. Every single skit, joke and gag had me in tears. These two are so great together, and you really captured the feeling of them as a team. That opening skit with the crane game from Kirby's Adventure really hit me because I did a Let's Play of that game on my own CZcams channel a while ago, and I remembered hating that mini-game. XD

Nice review. Always a pleasure to watch your work. If you have T30's Hoist you can remove the hook from his tow rod and attach it to the rear little peg at the end of his towing harness.
I had a bad day at work. Saw you had this posted, you got me to laugh. Can see you like these figures a lot. It'll be a while before I even see these in my stores...so back to messing around with Legos.
I wish he had easier access to more of the SS 86 and WFC line and wasn't so hard to get for him.This has got to be my favorite Transformer review channel.

watched your review and became in love with this. this was my first earthrise figure! opened it up, Transformed it a few times and the 5mm pegs that tab into the feet in the crane mode snapped off.

Great to see you back reviewing. Excellent stop motion and Grapple tapping Hoist on the shoulder was very funny. Along with, "suspending a corpse above the ground".
Personally, I can't get past the small size of Grapple. I base my entire collection on vehicle scale which has been difficult on occasion but always rewarding so I'm happy with Masterpiece Grapple along with CHUG Grapple as Hauler.
Hoist looks fantastic and I'll definitely pick him up though I'll never part with the G1 toy which has a timeless quality.

These Earthrise figures sure are a beauty. They really are practically mini Masterpiece figures.

Grapples hook _can_ actually hold stuff, specifically A.I.R. system stuff like parts of Ironworks, the shield battlemasters, ER Primes trailer door shield, _and that part of Hoist you bloody talked about right after_
The system is actually quite fun but I watched Dr.Lockdowns review of earthrise Astrotrain and the platform looked a bit floppy. I still have some hope in this system tho.
Siege Jetfire is always just a laugh to see because he just dominates every frame he's in. I fuckin love him

Great video and I was a kid of the 80's myself and Yes I agree these new earthrise figures, I have both of these guys and wheeljack and cliffjumper and leader class astrotrain which I just picked up yesterday at Walmart here in Ancaster Ontario Canada. They look great which I'm going to keep them in the package.

The chrome accents you added on Grapple look great. Definitly helps break up the orange color. Going to do the same on my Grapple.
I initially thought Hoist looked garish with that colour scheme. I gave him a shot and he's really grown on me
Great review dude! I just recently got them both myself and I’m very pleased. I do have the same nitpick about Hoist’s arm panels but it doesn’t break the figure for me at all but if I did have to choose between, I think Grapple wins. I do have the previous HuntForDecepticons Grapple you showed and while its size is better for vehicle mode to do some scaling, I do think Earthrise robot mode is astounding. Really pops with that orange too when thrown in with the other Siege/Earthrise

I think you called Grapple, Hoist in your "transformation" segment. That being said, these two Transformers look great! So much like the "original" 80's animated series(nice touches you added on their vehicle modes).
Great review LER! I like this Grapple, but I think I'll wait and see if there's a 3P Oversized one coming along. This version is just too small. Like you, the scale drives me nuts. Anyway, since you started doing the vids again, you've been knocking out of the park!

I'll never not get tired of MP-10's almost perfect transformation in the commercial, even with the slick edits. I don't think any of the other Primes (including 44) can match that.
Joe has forever made me think of Hoist as scottish...but your voice acting is still awesome! This review also seems suspiciously a lot better than the previous ones...

Got grapple and hoist on the way,they were listed together online for $49.99.They we're two of the first I owned around 84/85 and from what I've seen and heard earthrise grapple is a lot like g1 grapple so I hope it brings back some 35 yr old memories.
