Travel from Vienna Airport to Vienna city - Where, how, at what cost?

- With this video I explain how to easily get from Vienna Airport to Vienna city by low-cost public transportation.

All passes (24,48,72 hours or weekly) are valid for all public transportation in Vienna, such as Subways, Trams, Buses and Trains.
Here also an indication of which means to take to see which attraction in Vienna.
- St. Stephen's Cathedral - Change at "WIEN MITTE" stop, change to subway line U3 (the orange one) - make 2 stops in the direction of "Ottakring" arrival stop "STEPHANSPLATZ". - any exit is fine.
- Imperial Winter Palace (Hofburg) / City Hall / Parliament / Museum of Fine Arts / Leopold Museum - Change at "WIEN MITTE" stop, change to subway line U3 (the orange one) - make 4 stops in the direction of "Ottakring" arrival stop "VOLKSTHEATER". - take the exit "Volksgarten"
- Vienna State Opera - Change at "PRATERSTERN" stop, change to subway line U1 (the red one) - make 4 stops in the direction of "Oberlaa" arrival stop "KARLSPLATZ". - take the exit "Oper"
- Schönbrunn (imperial summer palace) - Change to the subway line U4 (the green one) - make 8 stops in the direction of "Hütteldorf" arrival stop "SCHÖNBRUNN" - take the exit "Schönbrunn"
- Ferris wheel and Prater - Get off at "PRATERSTERN" stop you are already there.
- New Danube and Danube Island - Change at "PRATERSTERN" stop, change to subway line U1 (the red one) - make 2 stops in direction "Großfeldsiedlung / Kagran" arrival stop "DONAUINSEL".
- Old Danube - Change at "PRATERSTERN" stop, change to metro line U1 (the red one) - make 4 stops in the direction of "Großfeldsiedlung / Kagran" arrival stop "ALTE DONAUINSEL".

@2:28 that's not true. Almost _all_ trains listed here (except the S7 towards 'Wolfsthal') go into the city. Some just continue on to other destinations afterwards. The S7 will go towards the north-eastern parts of the city, whereas the RJ & RJX trains go via the main station and are more suitable if you need to go to the southwest of the city.
I saw in a different video that someone pressed on Excl. city fare ; i thnink the ticket was cheaper ; anyone can explain what that mean ?
Can we use 72 hour ticket airport to centre as well as return airport in 3 days?
So if I’m staying 3 days, does a 72 h ticket as showed in the last example (Airport+ Vienna city core) would also insurance the return from the city to the airport during day number 3?
Yes, this ticket includes the journey in and out of the airport, as long as you travel within the 72 hours. After that, of course, no more.

@@allaboutlife5004 One-way tickets normally need to be validated, while season tickets do not, as they are valid from the moment of purchase.
Hi, if possible, can you please tell me if the train will be available at 12 o’clock at night because I will be arriving at 12 at night and I need to get to the city center from the airport
Hi, Currently the last train from the airport to Vienna leaves at 00:49, so you should be fine. 😀
