The last movie that was released in North America on Laser Disc was Bringing out the Dead, October 3rd 2000. Really excited about this one!

Damn rich over here! After the boxset of you're next, 3 criterion movies from barnes, gettind departed and south park before that and looking for the slipcover of the sadness, I'm gonna be broke. Have you seen civil war? I've heard mixed things, opted to not see it in the theaters
UHF and Taxi Driver for me this week, though for some reason Amazon has delayed my Taxi Driver until the middle of the month even though I ordered it when it was announced.
Ken,... "1982: The Greatest Geek Year Ever! isn't a movie, per se. It is a four episode documentary TV series that worked as a retrospective examination of that year's genre films, TV shows and movie going culture. It had a weekly one-off airing run last summer on the CW. Hosted by Scott Mantz, it featured cast-crew-creator interview spots with commentary/analysis from notables such as Robert Meyer Burnett, Mick Gariiss, Drew McWeeny, (Mantz himself) and a swak-load of others.
The Friday the 13th remake is a beautiful looking movie. Can't wait for the 4k.
Can't wait for Bringing out The Dead. Ive read the book, seen the film in theaters and had the DVD with the original poster art.

I just watched the final trailer for long legs today and it looked so good. I was just hoping it'd get a 4k. I'll be seeing maxxxine on the 5th free ticket due to being an a24 member and then long legs the next week? I'm pumped!

The VSA is They Call Me Macho Woman, which I figured out myself. The Cinematographe is predicted to be Last Embrace. Not sure about the VSP, VSL, or Degausser titles.

Vinegar Syndrome just announced a limited edition (6,000 pieces) 3 disc, 4K/Blu-ray slipcase package of Sidney Pink's "Reptilicus" (1961). The 4K has been authored from the original 35 mm camera negatives and the set includes the HD mastered Danish language version of the movie (never before released in North America).
It'll never sell out.....
I watched the trailer and thought to myself: I'd need to be payed to watch that movie. It looks okay but there are sooo many options I'll maybe never get to in my lifetime. This forgotten 60s monster flick just doesn't make the cut for me. But I'm happy for everybody who's interested.
@@bened22 First saw this as one of 6 monster/sci-flicks at a dusk to dawn Drive In marathon. Then about a decade or so later, watched it on the CBS Late Night Movie. The broadcast copy they had was an awful, colour-faded/colour- shifted 4x3 P & S print. 81 minutes long, Sidney Pink's "Reptilicus" ranks high on my *guiltiest pleasures* roster of monster movies. The Danish language version (which I'm curious to see) runs 94 minutes and it was directed by Poul Bang. BTW, love the slipcase and other art by Matt Frank who also did V S's "Gorgo" packaging.
Ken, I found two Terrifier 2 VHS my local Walmart. I hid one.
I think Paramount compared their sales numbers between 4K and Blu Ray releases in their Presents line and got the message that collectors prefer 4K. I know, I know, many still only want Blu Rays. But I think 4K motivates most collectors to buy where Blu Ray doesn't anymore.
I'm looking forward to Wolf Creek on Blu-ray. Some of the Severin titles are probably decent, but they're too expensive. After dropping $75-80 on Opera, it's going to be hard justifying anything else, especially after all the other sales.

Solid announcements. I do have Anchorman 4K coming on Release Date from Amazon, I did Pre Order Twister from Gruv (Never seen it but I’m gonna rectify that because I do have tickets for Twisters opening weekend) I did also Pre Order the Forrest Gump Steelbook because I don’t have it in the Collection. I also took part in the Criterion sale and picked up Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas 4K and Bound 4K. Also found the Mars Attacks Blu Ray at Walmart (Never seen the movie but that Slipcover was too nice not to pick up)

If B&N weren't around and having the sale, then Amazon would have no incentive to price match - so that's one reason a person might choose to support B&N instead, pricing being more or less equal ;)

Meanwhile, The Mad Bomber is notorious for coming out on DVD in black and white - when in reality it was shot in color. The result was a brownish piece of trash, so hopefully this newer version will be a huge improvement.

Speaking of Martin Scorsese when are we going to get a US 4k release of Killers of the Flower Moon? I believe that the UK got a release but why not the US..Glad bringing out the dead is coming though that's a automatic pickup. Thanks Ken great report!
KOTFM is a Paramount-Apple deal so Apple's likely gatekeeping the trigger in an attempt to optimize streaming for some time longer

1st day of VS announcements was really weak today.
AQP: Day One was great! Not as good as the first two, but it doesn’t deserve the negativity some people are giving it. Unfortunately people love to hate these days.
Lots of cool stuff getting Steelbooks these days, but I dont do steelbooks. Nothing for me in the recent announcements of Arrow, Scream Factory and Warner Archive.
