- Had myself a good time taking you along a plant shopping trip to one of my favorite nurseries for houseplants in Orange County. I’m always so impressed with their Hoya selection, and they always have some cool uncommon to rare plants to surprise me too. This time it was the ficus triangularis variegata and the alocasia quilted dreams. All in all, another great trip to Plant Depot.

I have the curly lipstick plant, bought it in the fall of 21. It was in bloom when I first purchased it. Then they fell off. I believe it’s about to bloom again. I also knocked a piece off that looked like it was the beginning of a bloom. 😭 Mine is still a baby and I feel like it is not growing at all.
That spider plant was epic and a beauty. I can only dream for mine to get on that level so I can become a plant gma! 😉
I love watching your videos just to see the absolutely wild price differences between us here in the UK and the US I mean that Alocasia 'Black Velvet' would be an £6/$7 plant but that Sansevieria 'Bantels Sensation' (if you could even find a plant that big) would be in the low hundreds! A single rooted division sells for around £80/$100 🙃

Focus triangularis is such a beautiful plant. I wonder why huge ones aren’t as popular as fiddle leaf figs have been

I'm preparing my small garden I even have a theme . Now checking out which ones in particulair. Still a little coolish in temperature.
I live in a non tropical climate.
The succulents I know grow huge in there environment.
And yes I'm a plant fan.
