You forgot about the main villain who was suppose to appear. Not sure who this villain was suppose to be, but apparently they would've been the equivalent to Fire Lord Ozai, a villain who's appearance is kept hidden and would have been responsible for Luna turning into Nightmare Moon, assisted in her escape from the moon, and responsible for releasing Discord from his prison.
Honestly it was something I couldn't find in my research but if you have the source I would be happy to see it. After all it actually makes sense for their to be a larger villain at play.
I found it on TV Tropes under Hidden Villains in the Western Animation Category. Though I'm not sure if there any more info on this or not. But hopefully your able to find more info on this villain that was supposed to appear.
@@dynaman7329 I don't think there is anymore info but that is interesting that there was supposed to be a long running villain that would've been revealed to be pulling the strings.
Yeah cause MLP doesn't really have a signature bad guy. Transformers got Megatron and G.I. Joe has Cobra Commander. If they used this long running villain then MLP would have had that go to bad guy. I guess you can say that Tirek is the signature bad guy, but he's only had two incarnations and Megatron & Cobra Commander has had multiple incarnations.
Excellent video. I figured that the original plans weren't going to be this massive war story between ponies and other races, or were some of the major characters died. Having said that, I do kind of like the concept design for Twilight, though I would never trade it for the final design. I'm surprised with the changes on Celestia, though I do feel bad for Faust with that struggle, among others throughout her career.
Hasbro is purely a commercial company. It doesn’t care whether the audience is happy or not. It only cares whether the recent profits have met the standard.
