No surprise Corbin cash did so well! Had my first Corbin cash single barrel rye a couple years ago, and it is the only rye I have significantly stocked up on. Love supporting farm/distillers.

With the ecbp c923, the first digits a22 are said to not be as good as a23. I got my brother and i a couple before i heard about this and they are a23. I never even opened mine because i wasnt a huge fan, eventhough its the a23 thats said to be much better. So what they mean, A is the bottling line, 22x/23x is the day of the year, such as 234 is the 234th day of the year, and the last 4 is the exact time of that day

Curious how you heard of Corbin Cash? My local liquor store has done a couple picks of it and they’re phenomenal. So good for a Ca distillery

I got the Leopoldo bros 3 chamber bib holiday 22 release for Christmas this year and it is super yeasty. Nose is like walking into a brewery. So different from the bib bourbon I have tried from them and anything else really. Will take a few more tastings to judge fairly.
Sagamore 8 year is my favorite rye I’ve tried by quite a margin.

Jason I am glad you said what you did about 1920. My current bottle is not what my first one was. I will not rebuy for 60 plus. I blinded against signature and guess what won? My budget is 80 a month so I have to consider value and quality. I only drink 2 nights a week so I can occasionally go for quality.

Absolutely love the Old Ezra 7y Rye.
On scores, I like what Dramface and Aqvavitae use. 0-10 with 5 being average and each number defined. Gives a lot more of a spread.
Unfortunately I missed the live stream. I've been fortunate to get a lot of the rye's that are on your list. There is one rye that is not on your list that I really loved, and might beat most of the bottles on the list. Sagamore Rye Finished in Maple Barrel's. Unfortunately it was only released in a few states. If you ever come across one you need to grab it.
How about Peerless Double Oaked Rye? What are your thoughts on that for the list.
Eh, I don't know about that Hard Truth. Maybe you got a good batch or something...just got green apple and no finish. Good velvety feel, but at 2-3 years needs more time.

I just got my hands on the michters toasted barrel proof rye, but unfortunately my sinuses are all jacked up so i cant even taste it. I hunted and found the buzzards roost cigar rye, i only had one pour of it and it was so funky and off putting i gave it to my bro for xmas. It was part of a joke, made him think all i was giving him was a bottle i already opened and didnt like it, but then as we were tasting the copper and cask small batch 003 im like man this is damn good, i have to get a bottle of this. Hes like what are you talking about? This is your bottle. I said no its not, its yours, i was just breakin your balls haha. He says so the buzzard roost cigar rye isnt my present? I said no it is, theh both are. The buzzard roost was just to sell the joke, but they're both yours. He got me little book in retrospect, eventhough he knows im not a big bookers fan. I think he did it just for a reason to spend that kinda $ n still try it wo is wife gettin pissed haha

Or, you can drink and enjoy your Pappy and it will be like driving and enjoying your Lambo. Both are wasted if not actually enjoyed.
