Very useful, and simplified so I can remember it as the move transitions. Thank you!

Wow thanks for this. I always escape side control and get to turtle, but never had any defensive techniques from turtle. I actually got to side pretty easily using this. Thanks

What I was struggling with is just that I was so resistant to go on my back and was just getting stuck defending until they either gave up or I messed up. Seems like I need to be more willing to end up on my back, at least in this case.

Can i use this in a white belt tournament?

Where do you go from 3:10? I'm a beginner and just see a back choke coming on me, not anything to do to him.

Hi Rebecca, the simplest thing to do from there is transitioning to mount position since you have great angle with your hips and legs allowing you to just step over his legs. He shouldn't be able to choke you from there since he has no control over your hips nor hooks in, you can easily turn chest-to-chest if you feel threatened by a choke.

@@MMALeech Thanks! I gave it a try at class, so I got to see how they can't even reach a choke if I scoot up to their shoulders like that.
