@@larsporsena9529 Even though its only the Austrian Bundesliga it wouldn't be crazy to have him as a backup to Jedi though. Our current back up plays in the Italian second division. Im guessing Gregg is thinking long term because Palermo could possibly get promoted to Serie A.

Personally, I would use my self-developed "arrow" formation that I perfected after receiving my National E license, while coaching my U10 Lava Girls to an undefeated season. This formation is attack-minded and the best part. Get this... it LITERALLY points at the opponent's goal! While admittedly relinquishing the wide areas, it has the benefit of giving the team a strong spine, and sets us up perfectly for the counterattack. It would look something like this:

I think Gregg will be bringing Koleosho. Seems primed for a switch and we know Gregg likes him bc he's been talking to him.
I do wanna see all 3 of Balo, Pepi and Sargent on the roster so I'm not sure what winger I'd give up. But if Koleosho is in, Aaronson has to go.
He may be out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. Could come back in early May. So switching then might be up in the air.
We all like Sarge but a healthy Luca definitely takes his place on the roster. Aaronson’s ability to play wing and the 8 makes him too valuable to leave off the roster even if he doesn’t play.
You’ll need two players on the right to stop Vinny Jr… kinda like what BJ did to Canada and Davies.
That special task is reserved for Aaronson.

I agree abt the Uruguay game plan but I would have Weston in place of Johnny. He’s become a decent defender and can still get slightly further up the field on third man runs. I def rate Johnny tho
What if the USMNT tried a different formation? Like a 3-4-1-2 with Robinson Richards and CCV in the back line, Dest at LWB Weah at RWB Reyna at the 10, Pulisic and Balogun up top?

Balogun hasnt been well for US soccer. Are we going to forget the last window in friendlies he did nothing. I wouldnt except much from him. Hes like most players do well in clubs but fail at national level. Id honestly put pepi in at the moment if you put balogun in youre a fool and obviously pulisic 😂

If there's anyone most likely to make both the Copa America and the Olympic rosters it would be backup players at the Copa America. And the backup player at the Copa America that has the least chance of getting any game time is the third goalkeeper. Unless Chelsea want to have more time seeing him personally over the summer I think Slonina would be a prime candidate to be on both rosters. I think Chelsea might actually like that situation.

Obviously, there are some big question marks surrounding Adams and Sargent... what do they look like post-injury? How long does it take them to get back to how they were performing?
I would start Pepi against Bolivia, because although I think his quality is slightly below Balogun, he has a knack for putting up numbers against mediocre competition. Plus, he’s earned it and it keeps Balogun fresh for Uruguay.

Bro is pretty easy to know whose playing cause there's no confusion there, tyler Adams and zimmerman, gio rena, sergino dest, Timothy weah, balogun,Musa, Robinson, mickinnie, pullistic goal keeper offcourse. For them to win it all, the squad must be in the field all day, all long period.

Against Bolivia/Panama I agree. For Uruguay tho, I think your Johnny bias is showing a little bit, he just hasn't faced top quality opposition that much, hopefully he'll impress in Laliga but until then I feel like it should be Musah/Mckennie with Adams since I think both Musah and Mckennie are good enough defenders (Musah also has experience being a 6 too). Also I think for Uruguay Scally should start over Dest since Dest defensively is risky. Two other options against Uruguay might be to play a midfield diamond/flat 442 (kinda like we did against England) with MMA midfield plus Gio (maybe at the top of the diamond) or a backline of 5 with dest/weah/Arob as wingbacks to bomb forward in transition. both options would probably see puli and flo as the two up top.
I agree with everything except Sargent, it doesn’t make sense to have only three wingers. I know Josh can “play” there but he doesn’t have the ability to take a man on 1v1, which many of these games could come down to.
I agree about Johnny over Luca, but I think Luca will make it somehow even if he shouldn’t.
Why not Gregg try Dest at wings.
Definitely would rather take Zendejas than Aaronson. Instead of 4-2-3-1 I would play a 5-1-3-1. Add an extra CB to allow our Fullbacks to make wide runs and to press in the midfield while still having an adequate backline. Force Uruguay to send more players up to open up the field for the counter runs.
