@@rengartis6591 I don’t know what the rules are but indeed the German player forced down the head of the Dutch keeper with his leg before the ball became unplayable.
The Dutch goalie fell on the ball, so the ball was not playable for the German at that moment. Rules say that the shoot out has to be taken again .. If deliberate duck on the ball probably a penalty shot from 6 metre..

In the rulebook if the ball is not playable you will get a penalty corner. (Like if it's not shootous to decide who will win). This is done so the keeper can not just sit on the ball. Furthermore it compliments the rest of the rules for example you also can't move ur stick too much if someone is challenging you. Because you make it impossible for the other person to get to the ball so you kill the game. Now the stupid thing is since shootouts basically only happen in tournaments the rules about this are not that good. They just kept the rules like they are during regular time. Hockey is such a nice sport, that a tap on the helmet results in a lot of commotion and even knocking a team mate down (China vs Belgium) does not result in any retaliation.
For people who want to know whole story and the people thinking the Dutch behavior would have been justified should read this: How about you take a page out of your own advice book and tell the actual whole story instead of a biased one for the Dutch? Saying the opponent would be ‘afriad‘ in the German sports-sphere isn’t supposed to mean that the opponents are in fact afraid. It’s a German idiom for ´we are a good team and the opponents know that, we don’t have to be shy‘. Translating it in a literal sense is absolutely incorrect in this sense. It basically comes from a self-critical POV and means ˋwe shouldn’t sell ourselves under value‘. This is purely on the Dutch side for translating it incorrectly in order to rail up the Dutch against the Germans. And the Dutch should know better considering that they are capable of speaking German very well + this idiom being a very typical one in Germany. In the very same Interview the Germans were complimenting the Dutch team a lot amid showed respect and admiration. But the Dutch media purposely left that out of their magazines and news, just like you are doing now. And either way it wouldn’t justify the unsportsmanlike behavior of that Dutch player, and especially not the Dutch player grabbing that one German player at his throat for trying to talk to that one Dutch provocateur. Quite insane of you trying to justify as if both would on the same level. But then you’re at the same time annoyed at what one German player had said before the interview? That makes zero sense. The behaviors the Dutch players was much worse either way. He also humiliated the whole German team with that gesture, not just one single player. A proper reaction would have been to say something back in an interview afterwards, instead of humiliating all of Germany. Not to mention that the Dutch do also conduct interviews before matches and are know for provocative comments, in all kinds of sports. A proper response of the Dutch would have been to say something back in an interview but I guess they were, in fact, too afraid to do that before the match ended 😂

Wasn't correct. Keeper started it. Player finished it. The other player had no business joining in.
The German goalie smiled when his helmet was tapped by Telgenkamp. He accepted it at the moment as he knew why Telgenkamp did it. The fights started when Weller felt the need to protect his goalie. All very understandable and logical. Anyone who thinks it takes away any of the joy we have for becoming Olympic Champions again, it doesnt. You can steal and knock it away, you just can't cover it completely so that your opponent can't even get to the ball
@@louisbest1674 That just sounds so weird to a ice hockey fan. Isn't the ball stealed if it's under the goalie? Shouldn't shooters just try to move ball to under the goalie if they don't have a clear goal position?
@@Jorma___since the prev commenter didn't give more contect ill have a go at it. Cuz I agree with you so I'll try my best to explain.
So if the keeper is on the ball it kills the game so you get a retake. Although I believe it shouldn't be like this

Nice sport.... so why don't you act 'nice'.??!
For people who want to know whole story and the people thinking the Dutch behavior would have been justified should read this:
How about you take a page out of your own advice book and tell the actual whole story instead of a biased one for the Dutch?
