Thanks for making this so easy Adam. Gateway to future improvement I’m sure.
Thanks for making it easy to understand.
We have a summer over 110⁰F down here in Brazil... I totally understand you, man. Take care , it could be dangerous.
Love your lessons 🤝
Thanks for making these newer lessons Mr. Gussow. I've always wanted to play harp as a kid but never tried til now in late 2021. I've been learning and practicing your beginner lessons like these and then attempting to use them as a vehicle for improvisation over a jam track in the key of G. I probably still suck, but im having a ton of fun making bluesy sounds for hours!
I'm still amazed at the technology which allows you to sit in your car in Mississippi and share this lesson (on your German made harp) to the whole world. Thanks for your great lessons. By the way, it's raining here in Boise Idaho.
Yes, it is pretty amazing. And that is definitely a German made harp! Plays like a dream.
Took lessons many years ago with you Adam when you was living in Harlem. I worked At manny’s car wash ( blues club) as I’m sure you know.
Cool alright Adam
I’ve been slowly working on this lesson. Many stumbles but, my lovely wife said it’s not a race, practice practice practice.
Thanks, Adam. I’ve been following you for the past year and I am excited to see this lesson. It gives me a chance to work up a strong performance with others. Take care.
Even after playing for eleven years, I like this exercise (A) for remembering simplicity and (B) for fine-tuning of _tone._
Thank you for all of the amazing videos . This little whipadoodle move gets the groove going.
I love it! And now I try it... 😎Thanks Dr. Gossow
Been watching your videos for about a month. Picked this one up pretty fast. Thanks Adam!
Yeah buddy !!! Thanks for getting everyone on the groove brotha mane !!!
You blown me away love this and it so helps you find the inner groove 😉👍
Just great teachings many Thanks. congratulations Adam
I've been learning from you for about 6 months. This one was a real break through for me. Even better, Ive been jamming on cajon and percussion with some guitarists, then today I just pulled out the old marine band c and riffed in classic folk tunes and found I had a great understanding of rhythm, pitch and general techniques accumulated from watching your videos. It was an amazing feeling, like being off trainer wheels, or my first flight. Thanks Gussow, you've enriched my life and added to my music arsenal.
Yes got one myself Adam . And it is very nice .
Thanks for a great lesson.
Im just picking it up, thanks for posting man very appreciative
Love this exercise Adam .... Great riff like you said simple is best .....
Love this Rhythm I remember it from the Juke Joint Rhythm you did a while back. On the A harp.
This is cool! Been slowly teaching myself this crazy little instrument and MAN! This is a cool riff! I even managed to connect it with another riff I found and have managed to keep the neighbors from throwing things when I play on the porch! Gracias!
Gusso, your videos have been my inspiration to keep playing harmonica. Even when I hit a stump and don't know what to play. Keep groovin'.
Anybody who ever got good on harp hit bump after bump. Accelerate over the bumps and keep on.
Loved ti!
Happy to see you spreading the harmonica love in this recent lesson Adam. I will have to get me one of the those Hohner 125th anniversary harps!
Thanks much. They are good harps.
Love this adam 👍😉🙃
Finding my inner groove and it was nice to recap from the juke joint toilet block teaching lol 😉🙃👍
Nice! I've been adding pieces of online content to my practice, building an effective routine, i hope.
This fits good!
✌️
Excellent!
Wonderful lesson Adam! Greetings from India
Great video bro.
Ciao from Italy Adam!
Thank you

A lesson with a built in cliff hanger: the 12 bar blues. Love your lessons. Greetings from Mainz, Germany
Good one
Thanks
Great Teacher
Thanks! 😃
I don't think I've ever learned something so fast and so fun. Keeping an eye out for part 2. You had me at "no bends required". Bends are still a bit confusing.
And ps it sounds a little tiny bit like yours. So far I'm mainly doing lip pursing.
Trying to learn how to play this rhythm is probably my main driver for trying to get a good sounding 2-draw (I'm new to the harp and that's been my biggest obstacle so far)
How does it sounds 2 years later ? I just started a month ago. 😅
that is coooool
Although it may be for beginners, I find the chords and single notes easy but getting my head around the rhythm is the difficult part, but I love it and want to be able to play it properly
Thank you for your lesson, Adam! One observation - I think it would help if you would use your hand when playing to indicate if you are blowing or drawing, It is not always obvious.
Yes, I remember this from that memorable video when you were surrounded by all those portable toilets!
That was a little bit different but I get which video are you trying to point out.
I just subscribed. I like your style as a player and teacher. I use hohner blues harps. Curious what Marine band has to offer. Never tried one.
Blues Harps are a fine model. They used to be made with slightly softer brass than Marine Bands, which enabled bends more easily but also led the reeds to get mushy faster. I'm not sure whether that's still true.
😎🥃
Idk if anyone ever told you or not but you sound a whole lot like Bill Nye the Science Guy!
Believe it or not, I've heard that a few times. I don't wear bowties.
@@gussowsclassicbluesharmoni2726 A certain Doctor assures me that bowties are cool ;)
Seem to be having difficulty with this lesson for some reason. My 2 hole sounds dead on my hohner bluesband
Ive never felt like you try to sell marine bands, you say you play them because you like them. I am gonna get one, been playing my big river and blues harp, I do enjoy the wood comb I just like being able to take it apart easily to clean it since I can't run it under the faucet lol. The new designed blues benders, made in china, cheapest playable Hohner, probably my favorite, and it's marine band like without wood comb, so I'm thinking my next might be this anniversary model (I collect them as well) because it looks the business lol
Sorry To Tell you this Adam by mine does sound pretty close to yours. I know I sound a bit conceited but I do have a bit of a gift of learning how to play this tin instrument quite quickly. Great Tutorials ! Thank you so much ☺️
Hah! I went to your channel and there's nothing on it. Please make and post a video and I'll tell you if I agree with you.
PLEASE excuse my post!! Is the follow TAB correct? 1d, 2b, 3b, 2b, 2d, >123d, 123b, 123b, 123d. I'm OLD and really need a TAB to help myself practice. GREAT RHYTHM!!
Looks good to me 😉👍
It's close. I did 1d 1d. I also did 123d 123d half of the time. The other half of the time I just did 123d.
OK, just to be sure...the total is 1d, 1d, 2b, 3b, 2b, 2d > 123d, 123d, 123b, 123d - SORRY I'm so anal about this!!
@@oldiowan did you manage to play this 😉
@@andyhowe1302 I've got the notes down as I've listed them but need to work on the rhythm....A LOT!!!!!!!!
Diatonic or Chromatic scale?
in what key is that
I'm using a key of C harp, as I note several times in the video. I'm playing it cross harp (2nd position) in the key of G. So if you were jamming along with a guitar player or piano player, you would want that person to play in the key of G.
A whale can plays the blues but its limited to one hole blow 😂
Adam another great video sir thank you.
