I was looking through
The window of (my) life today,
And for the first time,
I saw things in a different way.
In the middle of my mind,
It was there all the time.
Never explain love.
It's not like anything you've ever done.
If it is there, it's yours to keep,
And the boundaries, they go deep.
Never explain love.
Let the experience take over you.
And when you do, never explain love.
I was looking for a reason,
I was searching for a sign
To try and understand
This relationship of mine.
But I didn't need to go far.
I was reading it all wrong.
Never explain love.
It's not like anything you've ever done.
If it is there, it's yours to keep,
And the boundaries, they go deep.
Never explain love.
Let the experience take over you.
And when you do, never explain love.
Before I knew I almost blew it all.
Who needs to be rational
When love isn't practical?
All I know is what's inside.
(and) It's so right...It's so riiiight
wohhh
Never explain love.
It's not like anything you've ever done.
If it is there, it's yours to keep,
And the boundaries, they go deep.
Never explain love.
Let the experience take over you.
And when you do, never (uh) explain love.
Never explain love.
It's not the only thing you've ever done.
If it is there, it's yours to keep,
And the boundaries, they go deep.
Never explain love.
Let the experience take over you.
For when you do, never explain love - Hudba
This song ........ is reminds me of my beautiful wife Sandy, I love her so much! You should 'never explain love', it just is. It's one of those songs that just flows .

"Do the Right Thing" needs to be shown more and everyone should watch it. It applies to everything going on in this world, the hatred, the prejudice, the anger. I had seen the movie YEARS ago but last week it really had an impact on me. When the credits played, I loved this song. Peace!

I'm not African American but I had a love affair with the culture ever since I was very little and adore this song. I remember seeing Do the Right Thing in Theaters as a child and although I didn't recall this song from the soundtrack rediscovering after it aired on HBO recently was amazing. I had to hunt this song down sadly its very hard to find and was on the original Do The Right Thing soundtrack which has been out of print for many years now. Thank You.

This movie was sooooo BOSS!!! This song was a perfect ending!
Bill Nunn ''Radio Raheem ''RIP
Wow the strings at the end are absolutely amazing.
I am checking out all the tracks that have strings arrangements by Clare Fischer, using the Wikipedia Discography page for him, and I am loving it! He should have been better known. Chaka Khan, the Jackson 5, Brian McKnight, Prince...lots of others. You might love the strings at the end of Chaka Khan "Egyptian Song" too. Fischer was taking ideas from Shostakovich and the 20th century Russian symphonic composers.
@@ThePhilBest Thank you for saying those songs! Shostakovich wrote the theme song of my life! The Life if the Artist or Artist's Life. That's me. That's also me in the corner, losing my religion.
One of the greatest songs about stopping and thinking about what is right about life
Yes
Why isn't this treasure of a song on Spotify?
A talent that was and shall be missed, but his music shall be with us forever.
Rest in peace, Al Jarreau!
Love some Al Jarreau and Clare Fischer's string arrangements on this song are mesmerizing!

William Dove indeed...heavenly!
This is the perfect song for the end of this movie. It helps you process all the beauty you just witnessed. Absolutely beautiful song.
RIP Al Jarreau you were a great performing artist.
The most beautiful song, in my opinion, that Al has ever done. Should I marry again, this will be played at my wedding.
I always loved when the movie finished to get to this song! Love Al Jarreau!!
NellyBelle Weird song to end that movie with, wasn't it?
Capcoor At first I thought so, but as it pertains to love I get it!
I like all of AL Jarreau music too, and I grew up listening to his music in the early 80's.😀
Maybe others might like "Moonlighting" or "We're In This Love Together", but to me "Never Explain Love" IS Al Jarreau and vice versa!
"Never Explain Love" is an awesome song. I love it. But my favorite is "Mornin"
This is my song from Al Jarreau! The Strings at the end of this Heavenly Song always make me Cry! RIP MR.JARREAU!😢🙏
the strings at the end is the best......i close my eyes every time i listens to it
I just lost the love of my life ( husband) on February 7, 2024. We had a love we could not explain. I have always loved this song and now that he's gone, I now know that I never will be able to or have to explain our love. The boundaries were deep and the love was Real. I dont believe I will ever love this way again.

Love this song!!! R.I.P. To The Late Great Al Jarreau
Rest in heaven, Mr. Jarreau
I saw Al doing a promotion in his early career as a singer at a music store in Greenwich village in the late 70's, I have love his music and his voice and range on this song. Cathy Block did some exquisite writing on this piece. This song with it's orchestration combined with Al's singing brings me to a point where you feel every movement of the strings. It takes you to a place of tranquility "I was looking thru the window of my life today, and for the first time I saw things in a different way in the middle of mind it was there all the time...Never Explain Love" simply wonderful.
Beautiful lyrics

...THE AL JARREAU
It’s funny how u can’t describe some things, but the feeling u get from them can take you anywhere around the world without leaving the room.. “And that’s the double truth! Ruth!!”
You can say that again ! Or thrice 😉
✨YFF Sound✨
Yes! And that's the quintessential truth Ruth!
This is the most beautiful song I've ever listen to.

A poetic and vocal genius! RIH Mr. Al Jerreau! Your music and spirit within it lives on...
Yeah me too. I had purchased the "......Right Thing" CD a long time ago. Al Jarreau is one of my favorite jazz singers.
Many years ago I was walking around west 4th street there was a "Crazy Eddie" store an I saw a man singing with some albums of a person who I had not seen, an low & behold it was Al Jarreau. I never forgot it...loved his voice and this song brings so much into my heart that it shall be with me forever.
Love...not just a word, for it is part of life our very being survives because it.
Peace 2 ya - Great post

No shade. It's as if Spike had a sit down and told Al, none of your vocal calisthenics, let's just make a simple one for the Block, ...and Al delivers on cue.
Ernest Turner Even though Al has done some songs of his without it anyways.
Yes!!! Pure. Organic. LOVE.
My music teacher wrote the lyrics! ^w^
The voice of Moonlighting and moonlight. So smooth and smoky, with eyes that twinkled whenever he took the mic. Serenading the angels, now. We love and miss you, Al,. So glad we met on the way.
This song is truly beautiful.
Listening to all the tracks on Spike's Do The Right Thing this morning including this nugget by the wonderful, late (R.I.P. ) by Al Jareau - and starting the weekend right.
Masterful singer artist! Music bridges all racial lines and can bring everyone together!
Beautifully constructed piece of music
