We are dangerously forgetting the exact duties and the responsibilities assigned to the Military by Nigerian constitution in Nigeria and even world wide! The military has no roles in the Civilian Democratic Administration under no war , peaceful time ! It is strange and an anomaly for the Armed Forces to be regularly deployed to do duties which are essentially the constitutional duties of the Nigerian Police Force under this current civilian dispensation and we pretend as if this is normal and inconsequential! But is so wrong and has continued to result in fatal conflicts virtually at all places that had been the practice. Military men are trained to destroy, in fact to do so maximally the more the better! The mind set of the military and their mentality is to scheme to cause mayhem and never to stay to reconcile, discuss about peace and harmony of civil society! The sooner the politicians come to terms with the appropriate involvement of the military personnel the better! What happened at Delta State and Abia state recently are adequate few examples of how and why the deployment of the military to do anything in a civilian society is always ill advised and must stop forthwith!
