    All you need to do is use the blue line holders. The triangular blocks that slide up and down will rest against a couple of courses below so it’s impossible for the profile to then flex.. if you do go to far away from the triangular blocks it can bend but you’ll see for yourself as and when you use them

    Just ordered a set, 5 minutes to set one up is no time at all, look forward to seeing how they go

      Hi. Im thinking o buying these. How did you get on with yours

  • @lizard9437
    @lizard9437 Před 2 lety +1

    Cheaper and easier to just buy a bit of 40x40mm square galvanised steel. And get some block and or brick profile clamps. Than just get.even in and gauge it up

    I’ve recently used these profiles on concrete block work with thermalite inside skin conc on the outer skin. They took a while to set up 4 of them...about an hour and I used them on 3 lifts so they have had a bit of ware and tare. They do get easier to set up and they are good for both inner skin and outer however you need to do each a course at a time so there a bit of walking around on a large extension but great for a one on one gang... particularly when your getting knackered and toward the end of your laying career.

      What’s the verdict a year on John?

    • @Quebicrecords
      @Quebicrecords Před 3 lety +1

      @@jakeroach5991 still happy with them Jake. The best way to,use them on cavity wall for me is to build inner skin first using the Arms extensions ( don’t pull the line too tight ). Then outer skin. They do get easy and quicker to set up with repetitive use and the bolts and sliders get a little more lose once the newness wears off

      Hi john do you still have these profiles and would you still recomend them

    • @Quebicrecords
      @Quebicrecords Před 11 měsíci

      @@philipfennessy5625 yes I still have the original set. All the nuts and bolts but I’ve swapped the string line for a thinner line, I brush any mortar off after use and I always use a bit of 3 in 1 oil at the beginning of each set up in the slide groves just to help slide and it works a treat, they are well worn in by now but using oil prevents excessive wear plus it’s easier to clean mortar splashes off when dismantling them, keep the threaded bar greased up too

      Thanks john for reply appreciate i got a present of them and was wondering about what to do with them because people have said pulling a tight line will pull the profiles out of plumb. I was going to buy some blakes profiles but i will give these a go first thank you👍

    Seems fairly over engineered 👀 Even blakes are less complex than these. Better off with a box section and a few f clamps 😐

    What a load of rubbish, no serious Brickie would mess around with these profiles! Apart from ripping off Blake’s Profiles, you could build freehand quicker. Strictly for the DIYER!
    Pro Brickie’s use a length of square box channel and clamp it straight onto the brick or block.
