Interesante, yo siempre he catalogado a los solistas por nombre y no por apellido,teniendo en mis catálogos de música a David Bowie en la D y no en la B del apellido. Así que si aparece algún solista por el nombre en mi lista es mi forma de verlo.

Sin duda el álbum de gorguts obscura está en mi top de favoritos de todos los tiempos fue el álbum que cambio mi percepción de todo el metal y me hizo verlo de otra forma

En la A por mas vueltas que le doy mis favoritos son ACDC aunque la opción de TORI AMOS tambien es genial, en la B Aparte de los BEATLES mis favoritas son las japonesas de BAND MAID que es lo mejor que he escuchado en los últimos 30 años, en la C me sorprendío notablemente que no mencionaras a GUSTAVO CERATI, creo que es obligado en esa letra, en la D mi favorito es DEF LEPPARD, en la E me encanta la banda alemana ELOY y sobretodo EPICA, en la F FLEETWOOD MAC, en la G GENESIS y THE GATHERING y en la H probablente JIMI HENDRIX.

Yo clasifico la música igual que tu. A los grupos anglosajones les quito el "The", y a los nombres propios los clasifico por su nombre, no por el apellido.

Excelente video, esperando el siguiente capítulo de la miniserie. A propósito de Elbow, Cast of Thousands me parece un gran álbum también, el tema Fugitive Motel, es uno de mis preferidos de la banda. Saludos y gracias.

Como recomendación, creo que es mejor poner a los artistas empezando por su nombre en vez de apellido, porque creo no hace mucho sentido la lista como la pusiste. Osea, David Bowie debería ir en la letra D, Nick Cave en la N, étc.

Con alguno como Neil Young sí es complicado..aunque lo suelen clasificar en la Y, no es raro verlo en la N.
Los puse siguiendo el método que típicamente siguen en las tiendas de discos y en sitios como Rate Your Music (que es donde catalogo mi colección).

La manera en que la hizo es la correcta. Tambien sitios de internet como "Acclaimed Music" ordenan asi a los artistas solistas.
Con la X no deben haber muchas opciones así que me la juego que la favorita será XTC.

@@altrn0 en el metal sinceramente no hay una opinión objetiva conmigo, a AC/DC y Annihilator son bandas que quiero demasiado pero comparado con The Armed (una banda de Noise Rock y Mathcore) es simplemente mi favorita que me cuesta decir "es que la historia de AC/DC es muy inspiradora y bla bla" por eso hasta siento que es injusta mi lista xdddd

He puesto en cada letra la banda o artista que más me ha influido en mi vida, y dejo al final los que se han quedado a las puertas; así que aquí van #MisbandasfavoritasdelaAalaZ:
A -> All Them Witches
Una banda del rollo del rock psicodélico con toques de stoner que en cada disco innovan sacando nuevos sonidos.
El álbum que más recomiendo es ‘Dying surfer meets his maker’
B -> The Beatles
Qué más puedo comentar de esta banda tan influyente…
El álbum que más recomiendo es ‘Abbey Road’, para mí es el culmen de los inicios de la banda con toda la experiencia que ganaron a lo largo de su carrera.
C -> Coldplay
Una de mis bandas favoritas. Aunque muchos los critican, para mí en cada nuevo álbum que publican siempre innovan haciendo, en verdad, lo que les da la gana, y en directo que se nota que son cuatro amigos que les encanta hacer música.
El álbum que más recomiendo es ‘A rush of blood to the head’, este disco lo considero una evolución natural del anterior Parachutes, se mantiene el toque oscuro y austero, pero más perfeccionado (las composiciones son redondas, todo es necesario, nada sobra y nada falta).
D -> Desakato
Esta banda ha influido tanto a mi banda como a mí.
El álbum que más recomiendo es ‘Buen viaje’, aquí la banda llegó al sonido que estaban buscando desde que comenzaron, no quiere decir que lo anterior sea malo, pero aquí lo llevaron a la perfección, mezclando el punk, el metalcore y el post-rock.
E -> Extremoduro
Una banda mítica de España que ha influido a prácticamente todos los españoles.
El álbum que más recomiendo es ‘Somos unos animales’, puro rock con riffs pegadizos y letras que no te dejan indiferente.
F -> For A Minor Reflection
Con este grupo descubrí las maravillas que esconde Islandia y me introdujo el mundo del post-rock sin tener ni idea de que existía, solo muchos años después lo entendí.
El álbum que más recomiendo es ‘Reistu þig við, sólin er komin á loft...’
G -> Grande, Ariana
Una artista bastante mainstream, pero para mí hace una combinación perfecta del R&B, el pop, e incluso el trap, sumándole a todo esto su increíble voz
El álbum que más recomiendo es ‘thank u, next’, un disco bastante oscuro.
H -> The Holy
Una banda que descubrí gracias a la sesión del Iceland Airwaves que compartió KEXP. Es una banda finlandensa con DOS bateras y que hacen un pop muy oscuro que es muy adictico. Espero que esta banda crezca mucho.

Saludos e interesante tu exposición.
Pero al poner a los Beatles después de Bowie y el la C no incluir a CCC, pues noto que no coincidimos al menos en temporalidad.
Aclaro, Bowie es uno de dos músicos por los que sigo llorando, pero los Beatles son más que un grupo musical que va más allá del puro gusto para propósitos de "mi favorito"
