I am in awe of how calmly and confidently Ben plays this mighty piece, and he does it by heart!
That was one of the creepiest, most hauntingly beautiful piece of music I've ever heard. Hard to believe a human came up with this!
Bach really does hit the soul different than other composers of his day
Mr. Ben, your interpretation is sublime. I think the variety of registration is awesome! Thank you for making my saturday mornings better!
If it's like this in Heaven, I'll be very happy indeed.
Fantastic playing, Ben - bravo!
Ben Kerswell, you are a wonderful musician! I think that J.S. Bach was the the greatest musical architect, as his form and organicity (no pun intended) were exquisite and perfectly constructed. You do a terrific job of expressing all of that in this ricercar. Bravo.
An astounding organist and a gifted musician, certainly a young man with a great future!
This deserves so many more views! It's absolutely brilliant. What a rush.
Really strong experience....I do like your humble expression when performing such a difficult piece.
so powerful at the end
Fabulous performance.
Brilliant! Awesome, Ben!
BRAVO!
Bravo
Well done!
Excellent. This was played masterfully.
One can only repeat, hearing this unbelievable piece, (according to a saying of Beethoven): It should not be called BACH (= Stream), but MEER (= Sea)!
Loved it!
This music is absolute in the best sense of the word can be performed on anything that has an executable pitch. Actually the case with everything by JS Bach.
Very well played!
I am an Australian musician. My name is Ben Kerswell. My uncle sent me this.
Very nice!
Just Wow, to you sir and to Bach.
Wonderful, flawlessly skilled, performance of this amazing piece of music. Thank you!
Formidable !
How about a video of the Ricercar a 3 from "The Musical Offering," thereby providing the other "book-end" to this incredible piece of music? It seems to me it would be especially appropriate to hear the original piece inspired by the theme given to Bach by King Frederick the Great of Prusssia!
Bravo Ben! and score-less, bravo bravo bravo!
genial gespielt! Absolut kein Problem, dass es etwas zu romantisch geriet!!!
You play so beautiful, one day I want to play like you....
Wow, I want to play that piece, hehe....
Superbe interprétation…..si jeune!bravo l’artiste. 4:35
I've been playing the organ for over 40 years, and I just added this to my favorites. That means something. One suggestion though. A legato style with such a harmonically dense work isn't ideal. A more attacking style seems to work better. See this as a great example. czcams.com/video/hwftBG1VLf8/video.htmlsi=HRfRLEONdQhTT3ha
I like it, I wish I had my two arms in good state
It is well bro 🙏
Sometimes I feel like Bach put a bit of his grief over losing some of his children into his music some of it is pretty sad
You evidently know nothing about the origin of this piece. The theme of this fugue was propounded to Bach by King Frederick the Great in 1747. The chromatically descending tetrachord in the king's theme was the traditional lament motif from the 17th century to the late 18th century.
those r some nice socks
Bravo, but with viols is much better., sorry
I found it a bit lack lustre
Better taste in socks, please!
How about Jeremy Cole?
I was going to say the same thing!
@@robertmuncaster3510 it is socks that fit organists best!
