    Usually if your car has problems, it's usually the mechanic. This one dealer I took my car to, the engine light used to always come on after a visit. A lot of dealerships are real shady though, charging you for work you don't need (etc...). You can't be loyal to one place.

    The 2014 and 2015 Malibu looked so much nicer than this new generation one (2016 or later). It had its unique look to it- much different from the Chevy Cruze or Impala. Much different from competitor midsize sedans, such as the Ford Fusion. What’s sadly disappearing is the uniqueness of each car. I love the grill of the old one and the back end. I loved how the license plate holder lied below the trunk. The 2016 or later version looks like a larger and less attractive Cruze. I wouldn’t be surprised if the old one were to become a classic in the future.

    I owned a 2013 Malibu and the car was okay, nothing great. Very simple point A to B car. I returned the car because I feared the common electrical problems would start at any moment, which I did have problems with the dash and HVAC. Anyway, I went with a friend to check the 2016 model at a dealer and could tell right away that though the car got a make over, the overall quality and feel had decreased significantly!

    So going from a 2.5 liter engine to a 1.5 liter engine only improves fuel economy by 1 MPG what a joke! Plus that smaller engine has to work way harder so it definitely won't last too long! And I can't believe you can no longer add fog lights to the Malibu! Also I heard the cloths seats are super uncomfortable and unsupportive and wear out fast! I'll probably get a Toyota instead!

      Nonsense. Lots of cars have no drama when flooring the pedal because they make too little power and have somewhat decent tires. Tire package makes a HUGE difference in off the line traction. Millions of people live or drive at elevation so I welcome the numbers they use.

    The 2014 comes with a 2.5l na or a 2.0 turbo with 300hp
    Also the ltz is faster than the LT and ls
    Also they didnt redesign the malibu they made it into a smaller impala and the impala didnt look as good so this malibu is just ugly

    It’s crazy how many people prefer the older look. I thought it looked like a shitty Britney Spears road trip car, but tomatoe - tomato I guess

    Why didn't he shine the engine in the 2014

  • @connormink

    Is this even a fair comparison? They're not even the same trim level. The 2014 is the cheapest/base model while the 2016 seems like a higher model.

    Your "0-60 MPH COMPARISON" is a MILE ABOVE sea-level. 0-60 data is flawed.
    NON-TURBO engine power noticeably decreases at high altitude. Turbocharged engines make almost the same power at high elevation as they do at sea level.

    This car is noticeably larger than cars like the Camry and Accord. It should have more room inside than this.

    • @coureurdebois
      @coureurdebois Před 8 lety +6

      *what? you do realize the front occupants get more room along with more trunk space its not all going to magically go to the back seats you ditz. keep in mind this is a mid sized its also one of the *lightest and largest mid sized in its class...* you must think the camry is super tiny 😂😂😂*

    • @jmanyes
      @jmanyes Před 8 lety

      Over the years they keep making theses car bigger. Sooner or later midsize car might be full size and compact might be midsize, and dont forget the subcompacts to.

      this new Malibu makes the 2004 malibu look like a compact car

      Shouldn't be, it's a turbo.

      Altitude still has an effect on turbo charged engines. It's just not as bad as a NA engine. What happens is there is less air to compress, so you are making less boost.

    im sorry but the new Malibu is just not as looking as the out going one. i also hate the new stop and start system. I have a 2010 Chevy impala which she has been very reliable with almost 200k miles on her and no major problems. The new Impala is too big i wanted something smaller. Unfortunately i am all about my American Brand Vehicles but just can't do it with the new Malibu. Also it just has no pickup.
