depends on MMI.. if you have there MMI 3G+ then yes, if RMC then no.

in mib2 might be different, you can try this:
[5F - Information Electr.] [Advanced ID - 1A] Note 1st Serial number
[Security Access] Enter Digits 6, 13, 10, 14, 11 of the 1st Serial number
[Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 48
Set to 255
Reset MMI

B8 s5 original car I did it on.
haven't tested this on MMI 2G High to be honest.. so can't guarantee.. i've got now an Audi A8L D3 with this MMI so i will try to test.

VCDS only works on Windows based computer, but we are also using macbooks with parallels and installed Windows 10 just for VCDS..

NO this only for MMI not for MIB 1/2 or RMC
How i know if i have mmi 3g plus?
check the firmware version, if you have HN+ or HN+R on the beginning you have then 3g+, more about it here:
