So she tried to have Den's baby and bring it up as Dennis's own when it would have been either his brother or sister. What a stupid idea even though it was Den's idea, Zoe should have known better. This shows how desperate she must have been to keep him.

This scene makes me think that it explains why Den was so affectionate towards Sharon. Although whether one is adopted or not shouldn't matter about one's love for someone but the fact that Den totally disregarded the feelings of his biological children Dennis and Vicki and the kind of person that he is to sleep with practically anyone, it only makes me think that he may have had some kind of forbidden attraction to her too.
Den was lower than dirt. Telling Dennis Sharon only loved him because he reminded her of him. If that were the case she should have been running for cover because she knew how he hurt Ang, Michelle and even her by leaving, playing dead for all those years. He was horrible.

Losing Sharon destroyed him as a person and he blamed it all on Dennis and deliberately did this all as revenge yet even then, he didn’t want Dennis to leave and thought he would get away with this as payback and they could sort out their differences. It was massive regret. He tried manipulating Dennis before Zoe fessed up knowing he was going to lose his final child. He almost succeeded as well.
