All diplomas and awards he won should be displayed by the staircase’s wall - as any proud family does to show accomplishments 🙌🏼🙌🏼
OMYGOD YESSS it fits his diplomas better than next to the trash bin
Do i smell dumpster diving in the future?
Ok
I think given Reggie’s proclivity to go thrifting for clothes it makes since that he would go the same route for furnishing his home. So leaning into the eclectic, thrifted furniture items works really well. Maybe he should start hitting the flea markets!
Hell yeah, I forget about the flea markets! Totally Reggie’s vibe!
YEAH!
Omg I laughed so hard at the only decorations in Reggie’s room being pictures of himself.. and then again at him peeking out through the window. Great build as always!
When I saw that I said, "Reg is channelin' Max Power, and even gives me vibes of the Flower Power Fam who all perished when Max burned down the house..."
The more you added to this build, the more I loved it. Why did this weirdly eclectic and quirky house become a perfect fit for Reginald? ❤️
Yeah it's really nice. I can imagine Regi thrifting most of the furniture, ending up having somewhat mismatched furniture and wood tones. Can't wait for the family to begin in this house 😭
You forgot a fire alarm... You're going to need it with that fireplace!
Such an odd little build, but it's kind of cute in its own way! I love the AI generated videos.
He is handy so he might make it fireproof before using it.
28:35 that lamp has been in basegame since I got it in 2016, it's just rarely used because it doesn't fit with many styles.
It always shows up at the City Living Flea market! I mostly recognized it from there :P
It gives child’s bedroom vibes
As far as further updates go... some tiles in the bathroom would be nice 😂
And maybe a rug somewhere
I really appreciate that James edited the budget into the video so we could tell how much money he was working with even tho the picture was covering it
Fr I feel like one of James' greatest strengths is his attention to detail when it comes to video editing
I've always liked your builds but it is utterly refreshing to see someone build a sims house and consider where the combustion gas from the chimney would go and appropriate roof placement :P Props!
You can add a door into the second floor roof area and have a little office or small 1/2 bath. You can make a part of the roof a clear roof as a window.
My first thought was a dog room like in the werewolves LP lol
@@jennyplunkett6318 Ohhhh he could adopt a familiar!
The Freelancer trophy is a known glitch that happens when you graduate from university. It shows up with your diploma for some reason.
I think the high school picture works like the cross-stitching in cottage living. Put it in your inventory and click on it. See if there is mount on wall options or something similar.
So glad you're doing this again! This challenge was so much fun last time
This AI's picture was way more in the spirit of sims 4 as well. Saw that you linked it in the description, must have to try this myself!
its always such a joy to see james furnish something for a specific sim
Love that you did this again and the style of the house from the AI ended up with so much character! The one thing I was waiting for is more tile in the bathroom, all that wood would definitely get moldy...
Can't wait till James finds out that those stairs don't work because he put in the platform at the door after so now they're on regular floor height and technically not lined up with the platform
😂😂 oh no
Loved this build, ending up suiting Reginald more than I thought it would! Also think some rugs would make it a little more homey in there :)
The fact that this let’s play is already a mismatch of things, letting an AI build the house makes sense 😂😂
love the build, only thing i would add would be some rugs all around, it would definitely add to the eclectic vibes
This house feels thrifted, I love it for Reginald
While the building and the decorations are a bit odd, it feels a really Reginald thing, he wants a thrift store since he loves selling clothes he matched, his house it's a reflection of the same idea, I took this thing because I liked the style, and here it goes another different one that he still loves, it's peak Reginald the awkward dude that mastered the charisma skill.
we're gonnaget some funky houses in the future if real life architects start using this AI to build homes.
This information won't be of any use to you now but there are certain roof trims that apply a bar below the roof where the bottom meets the wall. The fourth? one does, and I think the last one, you just put the cursor over that border to apply it there too, no extra floor tiles necessary.
Yeah I did that later in the video haha
@@JamesTurnerYT Yeah I saw that.. after lol. I'm nursing a torn rotator cuff so I end up watching in short bursts.
@@scythergirlnc6066 Ouch! Hope you heal quickly!❤️🩹
@@irishduchess7577 I appreciate it! I'm managing lol, just dying of boredum. Being an artist and not being able to create art is driving me absolutely nuts though.
@@scythergirlnc6066 Oh no! It’s your dominant arm? Pain and boredom are a sucky mix ☹️ What type(s)of art do you create? Sending more healing thoughts!!
Finally!!!! Loved the video! The decorative plate you won could go over the fireplace in the tiny space it offers for something decorative 😆
What a cute house! I do think the AI generation images can be a great jumping off point for any builder!
This is such a cute house! I kinda wanna go and build something inspired by it, maybe not as tiny. And btw, chimneys don‘t have to go straight up, but they usually do.
I’m imaging Reginald furnishing with the HSY pack for the flea market/thrift store vibes and that kit with all the busy patterns and over the top styles as the LP moves ahead. Seems to suit his trendsetter personality. Also love the idea some have posted about putting at least one of his graduation pictures up in Column’s house. She’s definitely a proud and supportive mum!❤️
Yahhh, im finally on time for James!!!
Me too. I feel like I'm in a weird parallel universe because I haven't been late to anything today like at all
You could give his mom the graduation photo so she can have it in her house :)
I think it’s cute, and later on in the letsplay we could just expand it from the back of the house. Maybe add more bedrooms for kids, and a master for Reginald and his S/O. I think this house has a lot of potential.
I love the uniqueness of this home! And I also appreciate that he is still living in a tiny home. Not everyone equates their wealth by the size of their house and the amount of mostly unused things inside of it. Love this playthrough, it has been hilarious.
I actually kind of love this build! It’s a little unusual, but has charm. That AI seems like a fun challenge for a builder. 🤔
Omg that the desk underneath the stairs works = mind blown. I am going to use that in so many builds, usually it's just empty space or plants or whatever underneath that nook. Amazing inspo! I love the use of AI!
James’ self-satisfied chuckle sounds like my dudes in CAS when I give them a cool new outfit

I love these AI videos. They are hilarious and somehow you always end up making them look good.
This house is such a fun mix. It looks like something I would hate...but I really don't. There's something so unique about it that it feels special.
I was laughing so hard at Reginald's display of pictures of himself.
You don't need to place floor tiles to place floor trim - you can just place a fence. If you put it in the wall of the roof the fence will disappear and you can place floor trim underneath it!
Is there anything more Sims 4 than mismatched wood tones?! Fun little abode for Reginald, and absolutely love that the desk area works!
Fun idea! And now Reginald doesn't live in a shack lol. I think he would eventually upgrade the wallpaper to be trendy but this a great starter!
One of a kind builds. I love these videos. Do a whole series!
the parenthood fridge has a green swatch that will match the kitchen!!
I love hearing James' laugh while playing the sims. 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for introducing me to Dreamstudio haha I love this thing! I did bella goth who looked insane I love her haha.
For that small roof piece above the room where you didn't want to add any more room to get it above 64 squares, you can place the flat roof piece and then put a fence around it, after you do that just delete the flat roof piece and put the roof back. It will deduct the squares from the flat roof piece and you will have a space for a light--if you choose the medium-height hanging lights, that would be a good place for the dining table. You can use the small fence from Strangerville.
Oh, and to answer your question about chimneys, they would put a metal plate under the piece on the roof or wall, it is usually connected by a corner piece coming out of the wall that way it isn't on the roof. It goes like this, fireplace pipe, metal piece, wall, the metal piece then corner pipe piece, then chimney piece. This proves that the EA team really cut corners.
You don't actually need to place a room, you can just draw the fence and place the floor trim on it! 😌
You can put floor trim on fences, so instead of flooring, so you exceed the 64 tiles, you can use a small fence at the edge and shift-click floor trim on that 😃
this was a really good idea, kind of like the shell challenge but randomized. would love a series!
9:33 JUST USE A FENCE! you dont need a floor to apply floor trims. it drives me crazy when sims youtubers say this. you can apply floor trims, friezes, and/or spandrels to fences without being attached to a room/floor tiles
15:54 if you create an "open staircase" with a fence, you could save at least the 4 tiles directly over the stairs. deleted floor tiles above the ground floor dont count toward the tiny home tile count
Loved seeing this house get pieced together. It is so fun and cute. Great job as always James!
I love the house! The nook and kitchen are so great!
For the lines around the window you could have used the wall decoration from Decor to the max kit :)
Also, Kayla has a roof trick for your eave sticking out a bit across in the back!
That's cool. It will be fun to watch Reginald in his new digs.
Just in time to save me from a mental breakdown, thank you James 😃😃
I would have 1000% put an archway into the roof section next to the bedroom to extend the actual floor space even if only marginally with the angle killing half the 'room' but still you could definitely have eeked out an extra 4-8 tiles from doing so. Of course this is definitely preaching to the choir and Im sure that even if only momentarily the thought absolutely crossed James' mind.
I've had such a bad day, and seeing the university portrait through the window made me laugh for the first time all day!
Hope your day/night gets better!
@@irishduchess7577 Aw, thank you so much. x
HAHA I laughed hard with his photo that is seen from the window 😹😹
Nicely done, I like the cozy feel of the home. I look forward to seeing this in the LP!
The front of the house looks great! Though I am already dying for the house to be expanded lol! can’t wait to see reginald have a chance to renovate the interior with more style!
i love this house! i would love to see the house have more modern pieces as the let’s play goes on to incorporate more of reginald’s style, but i seriously love the vibes of this house
For that kitchen build a small 2 counter island just 1 square in front doubling as counter space and a table would’ve been perfect. Also giving you room in the living room for a two seater and entertainment setup. I’m late but I love the series! Tryna catch up hehe
I love the tiny grad peeking thru the upstairs window
I’m OBSESSED with this house!! Absolutely love it!
As someone who has only lived in houses with fireplaces - there is a thing called a chimney flue that is used to change where the smoke goes out. So yes, the chimney would NEVER be below a window/roofline and a chimney flue would be used for fireplaces like that. Though it would have gone to above the bathroom.
James: “sorry about all the different wood tiles, this looks bad”
Me reevaluating my life cause it looks pretty good to me
These AI builds always end up being really interesting! I grow tired of my builds pretty quickly, so maybe I should let AI inspire me. Whenever I come back to CZcams after a break/Netflix spree, your videos are always part of the few I return to. Your vids are really enjoyable and you're a pleasant person to watch! ^_^
You could do a challenge asking the AI for a floor plan and then make that work (and look good) in the sims. I feel like it could end up with an ..interesting house
Its such a fun and quirky build. I love it!
That looks very cozy! Can’t wait for you to play in it 🥰
James, I just wanted to mention again that I'm really liking this let's play!
I love your laugh 😂 I think the house came out great!.
I love that you can see your pic though the window ❤️😂
oh I am def using that under stairs nook desk idea :O
You did the flue perfectly. Keep it inline with the fireplace because you wouldn’t be able to run the pipe across rafters
Honestly seeing the picture of his high school grad and uni grad pictures next to each other just made me so happy. I love this let’s play so much
I love this little house 🥰 and to be honest I liked it with the red door as well. Good job James!
Actually it turned out quite nice! Love the choices of the inner furniture and that pink coach haha so much personalities
I love it! You could inverse the placement of the toilet and the sink, it would be less akward
Love your videos James very inspiring
You can use roof trim on the bottom bit of the side of a roof, a good alternative to using floor trim, it’s also free.
If you grab the eave arrow and press shift you can actually change the length of an eve on one side of a roof without changing the other... I found this out a few years ago by watching someone who does like house building. It blew my mind and it still blows my mind that a lot of people don't know about it still especially people who build all the time... Like I've tried commenting on here for little simsy to see and deli and I don't think either one of them know about it either. It's actually really nice to do for building It helps a lot
Omg!! Didn't know the tip for the roof trims, I always thought you could only use the Middle section options in the menu!
You should put the graduation pictures in Column’s house
loved this, cottage living is my fav
Guessing you blanked on the word “shack” 😂
what a fun idea. it actually looks good and you get to keep the tiny home perks. keep the single bed and all "single young adult" things until you have money for a full house upgrade
That sin at her lamp feels like a total throwback to sims 2
Haven’t watched yet and I am terrified what the AI will do.
Actually it turned out very cute with a lot of wood!!
If you want a little more space, I think swapping the kitchen and living room placement might make it feel bigger?
Enjoyed this build a lot can’t wait for the let’s play 👍🙂
If you want the stairs to work with a desk under, put the wall to the highest it can go, and when you L shape the stairs you can drag it to be the highest shape then you can use the highest part under the stairs. I did it in one of my builds.
That kitchen is soooooo nice 😍
I really hope to download this for one my playthroughs!
Hello from South Africa! Excited to actually watch a video that was a recent post 🙈🎉
Nice job James 👍🏽
I was really hoping for you to change the bathroom floor and walls 😅😅😅😅.. imagine taking a shower in that wooden box
getting going on my compositions!
I liked the concept of this video so much I had to try it out for myself 😂 Didn't turn out as spot on as yours (I am not as good at building), but it was a great challenge 😁
ok James another great video love, this house
I have been waiting for more sims!
Nice house build James. I like the look as a tiny home, although I would probably edit a few things in my game.
