IPMAT Indore is a challenging exam as it is very quant-heavy to prepare you for the rigorous IPM curriculum at IIM Indore. However, there are easy questions in the midst of the entire paper, worth the same as any tricky question.
Your objective is to pick these easy questions and solve them first. Imagine the confidence you'll feel with half the time remaining while you've already done a substantial amount of questions to clear the cut-offs.

the chess question, it felt easy here because we had the board visualised infront of us, im sure in exam many would not even understand what the question says
Fair enough, however, chess-based/grid-based PnC questions are very common and almost every learning material features that. If you're visualising for the first time, there may be hurdles, but if you've practiced PnC from any competitive exam perspective, it won't be that hard!
Even if we go by the longer route, you have an 8x8 board, so initially, you have (8*8 = 64) places to put, then one row and one column gets blocked, so you have (7*7 = 49) places to put. Like this, you'll get 64 * 49 * 36 ... * 1 (same as 8² * 7² * 6² * ... * 1) ways. We divide it by 8! as we 8 identical pieces.
We get: (8! * 8!)/(8!) = 8!
If we even ignore this question, there was another set-theory question, which was longer, but tested a very basic concept (The number of 3-digit numbers not divisible by 3 or 4).

Paused the video and was able to solve linear equation, probability, t/s/d, reasoning and unit questions :), only started preparing yesterday and so far have only completed ratio and proportion and am also a non - maths student so finally QA me thoda sa confidence boost hua

You just guessed one of our next video! The DI was also solvable in less than 5 minutes! With that, we've solved 11 MCQs and 4 SA questions, successfully clearing the cutoffs!

but clearing cutoffs doesn't guaranatee selection na, you need to score much higher
getting just interview call, and not getting selection would mean the same as compared to such person who hasn't cleared cutoffs. Both didn't make it@@AfterBoards

Only Indore has calculator. Rohtak and JIPMAT did not feature a calculator last year. Will get it double-checked though!

It's always very easy to solve the solve the paper once it's over.
The main task is solving it on D day with time pressure.
100% agreed. It is definitely not easy in the exam hall... but you can make it possible (maybe not with perfection) to pick at least a good portion of easy questions by enhancing your math skills and practising mocks where you implement these strategies. Since we have data of almost 3,500+ mock attempts, one of the biggest problems students face is putting 5+ minutes into a question that they don't solve correctly. It's 12.5% of their time gone because they weren't able to leave it after 30-50 seconds and come back to it at the end.

Hum exam mein calculator use kar sakte hai IPMAT ke liye?
IPMAT Indore has an on-screen calculator, similar to the one we have in our mocks. You can't use keyboard for it, you'll have to click on the buttons through the mouse.

Calculator allowed in ipmat and jipmat ??
An on-screen calculator is present in Indore's exam only. You can't use the keyboard for it. You'll have to use your mouse to click on each of the buttons.

How much should i score for iift plss reply
I am an IIFT student.Most of the students here scored 180-210.Highest scorer had 241,he left IIM Ranchi.Highest verbal section score was 172 and highest QA score was 40+80=120.Some students scored exceptionally well in VA and fucked their maths,but still made it to IIFT.But overall crowd is good as there are 3 students who left IIM-Rohtak,1 who left Ranchi and around 3-4 who left Jammu,Bodhgaya.
Around 7-8 students were in the rank range of 75-100 in IPMAT Indore as the general cutoff was 73.Moreover IIFT has the toughest ipm course among all ipm programs including IIM-Indore.

2:47 nahh calculator is not allowed in ipmate
IIM Indore has an on-screen calculator. I've personally used it to solve a question back in IPMAT 2021. The same has continued in 2022 and 2023.
Rohtak and JIPMAT do not have an on-screen calculator. However, Indore does, so do our IPMAT Indore mocks.
