Um actually, classification of dragons, drakes, wyverns, etc. are pretty inconsistent (except for the chinese/japanese dragons.) This question really only makes sense if you are talking about a specific fantasy world where these are actually defined.
Um actually, seeing as they gave points to Brennan for his corrections aswell as the Japanese point the question worked just fine. While there are some inconsistencies there are enough consistent points across all sources that anyone that knows anything about dragons would've gotten one of the inaccuracies and would've gotten a point.
You would have only had a valid point if no one got a point, instead two thirds of the players got points.
@Bee OP was right though, real life mythology is not consistent on this in any way whatsoever, number of legs, wings, or the ability to breathe fire are not what makes something a dragon, wyrm, wyvern etc, at least not consistently, and then we get into the whole new issue of grouping in east asian and meso-american creatures as dragons when they are yet again portraied wildly differently to "true dragons"

I'm currently trying to homebrew an Unsleeping City version of Florida where the reason why there's so many crazy Floridians, AKA Florida Man, is because the land is a well of wild magic and turning the residents insane lol please give suggestions if you have any
@@UsaretamaImako The more common "hidden magic world" explanation is that every crazy Floridian is just a normal magic-aware person doing normal magic shit and that it only looks crazy to the unaware, but having them also be crazy from the magic perspective works

Um, actually the map identification wasn't phrased as a correction of a statement, rather an answer to the question "Where am I?", so a direct response makes sense within the rules.

Um, actually Siobhan was correct. They may have wanted Spock to be red first, but the makeup they used ( the LN#1 you mentioned) is actually a khaki-ish orange color, which showed up much more green on camera than in person. So, she's right. They decided on orange, filmed it, and it turned out green.
That's not "originally", though.
Kind of the same way that Kirk's uniform was one color but filming made it look a different color.
I read somewhere that they decided against red because the network thought red skin and pointed ears looked too satanic.
Brennan have become my favorite of all the cast so quick! He is just hilarious great actor and comedian!

The only reason I came back to see this everytime I watched um actually is to see Brennan lost because it's too rare
As a huge Xanth fan my first thought at the beginning of the maps segment was, "I wonder if they'll use Xanth since it looks like Florida" and then as soon as I saw the map I screamed "Xanth!" Then when they didn't get it. "Xanth you idiots!" Lol 😂 With how huge of a series it is, it always surprises me how many people aren't familiar with it.
I binged all of those books one summer. Good times.

It has been indicated that the Mongols once attempted to invade Xanth but Xanth moved and the invaders who had made it onto the peninsula were cut off from the rest if their forces. It was shortly after that that Xanth's magical barrier was erected by one of the early Wizard/Kings of Xanth.
I love this series so much.
the Xanth novels were some of the earliest books I can remember reading as a kid. I have so much love for the series; the goofiness helped shape a lot of my personality as an adult
This should be on TV, and half an hour long, because everyone needs to see this and there needs to be more of it.
It's amazing how far this show has grown and become such a fantastic experience. This is still good back in the day, but it's really feeling like something that could easily be on broadcast TV now.

I'm amazed Brennan knew the Phantom Tollbooth one. I knew it as well, but I have the book in my bookshelf 20 feet away from me and read it within the past couple years. That's probably a book Brennan hasn't read since he was a kid, and yet he still remembers the map. Good work, dude.
5 year belated reply: I've never read the book nor seen it, but still got it, albeit largely because you can see an island called "Conclusions" and the "Jumping to Conclusions" joke was spoiled for me by relatives who HAD read the book.

Um, actually, Yoshi's Story came out in 1997. Princess Peach was referred to as such in the 1993 Yoshi's SAFARI manual. Yoshi's Story even comes after Mario 64 which had the princess famously sign her letter to Mario in the intro as "Peach"

Um Actually, its not strictly tied to number of legs, its tied to number of limbs. So wyverns have 4 limbs, in any combination of legs and wings. Dragons have 6 limbs, in again, any combination of legs and wings.
I summon my 3 legged, 1 winged wyvern! He can't fly or walk properly, but that's beside the point... He's still rad, okay??
Wyrms can still have either 2 or 0 limbs but I’ve only heard of those limbs being wings
The problem with that question is there are so many different answers depending on which book/mythology you are going off of. For example, in d&d there are Dragon wyrmlings, which are just small dragons. People change them to fit there story so much it's impossible to find a right answer.
dragon mythology is a mess.
in fire emblem, wyverns wildly alternate in appearance, and in some games, they have four limbs AND their wings, and their riders(in radiant dawn at least) are called dragon riders, despite them definitively being wyverns.
Off the top of my head, the only game in which wyverns actually are only 4-limbed is sacred stones, and their wyverns stick out like a sore thumb.
Um Actually, in ASOIAF all the dragons have 2 legs and are called Dragons, but there a place called Wyvern Point where presumably there is something that is different from a dragon despite Dragons really being wyverns

I never thought my knowledge of the Xanth series would ever come up in anything, yet here we are. So many great puns. It was how I learned that an egress a synonym for leaving a place. I still remember it to this day because of that really dumb pun.

Um actually that's a false distinction that has been created by dungeons and dragons because they needed to classify their monsters. The description of dragons varies greatly from country to country, from story to story, heck some of them are flying serpents with no limbs at all, some have no wings. It's not like if dragons were a real species that was scientifically classified.

Um, Actually. Wyverns tend to have their wings fused with their forearms(?) like how a birds wings are, where as dragons have their wings as separate appendages. Wyverns are not a subcategory of dragons but are infact a different species of creature.
