MrBeast's Video Says A Lot About Society

- @MrBeast posted a video where people Ages 1 - 100 Decide Who Wins $250,000 . There were challenges to eliminate participants until those remaining could decide who wins the grand prize. It was a journey full of emotions and exposed the selfish nature of people in our society.
In one part, MrBeast announced that if only one person walks out of their box, they'll win $250,000. If more than one person walks out of their box, they both lose! One member made it clear that they would walk out, so anyone else walking out would mean they both lose. Knowing this, another participant walked out. Why did he do this?
In this video, I discuss how this decision to bring down others at your own expense is EVIL. I highlight the words of Niccolo Machiavelli, who said it is better for a leader to be feared than loved. In this challenge, though, it seems being feared led to people having spite against Number 42.
Along with this, I discuss the biblical implications and where the Torah says holding a grudge is a sin. In the end, it is up to you to decide whether or not the actions of Number 58 were truly EVIL. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

42 manipulated not only his opposition but also his team, all for personal gain. 58 stepped out to take the prospect $250,000 away from 42 because 42 had taken the prospect $250,000 away from so many other people. 42 did not disserve money. Look at 14, look at his honesty, it nearly carried him to the end. Look at 47 her loyalty and friendship won her $250,000. The problem with society is greed (42) but honesty (14 and 47) is still there no matter how small, and it will always prevail.
That’s a fair analysis and I completely agree with what you’re saying. I just see what you’re calling 42s “greed” is just ultra competitiveness since people HAVE to get out for the main prize. I don’t think 42 would’ve won the main prize due to his actions, but him eliminating others was part of the game in order to choose who wins the main prize. Context is important and is the main difference between the two $250,000 prizes.
Exactly, and @BrandonNewman I think you need to look at what the 40’s did to the 50’s. 58 is a g, sure it’s a competitive game and 58 was being competitive too. He watched as his entire age group got wiped out. He had the chance to avenge them and he took it. Knowing he would lose. 58 is a g
@@uniquxz2126 I think a valid avenging would be if 58 would’ve somehow knocked 42 out of the main challenge. Knocking 42 out of the main challenge is different from removing $250,000 from 42
@@BrandonNewman how, he didn’t get any opportunity to do so. I see your point of view and giving an angle that hasn’t been shown by others as everyone’s been focused on 42 makes a great video. Your use of the Niccolo Machiavelli’s quote is just adds on really well. But, the way I see it is that the 40’s have represented the “selfish” side of society. I get they had their own families and requirements and needed to win the money. But, if you ask me at this point regardless the 40’s showed what they were willing to do and they essentially sold themselves for some paper. I’m just saying when 58 did that, it did seem petty. But, since someone was bullying him and his friends around, him doing that was his way of getting back. Talking about it now, I think all people there with a developed conscious were selfish. 58 was in the wrong and so was 42. 58 just responded to 42’s behavior, it’s natural. It just goes to show what people would do for money.
@@uniquxz2126 I agree, but when you say “what people will do for money,” that applies to that bad stuff 42 did, not 58. Number 58 didn’t do it for money because there was nothing for him to win by stepping out. I agree with what you’re saying and the motives behind it, but that only justifies the point that 58 did worse than 42 bc 58 acted knowing he’d be winning nothing, too.
Nah what u mean 58 sacrifice his Chance of winning 250k but he choose to eliminate 42 42 is an actually villain he even roast an old man and an old women
Context context context. 42 eliminated people when people had to be eliminated.
An 11 year old crying dont need to be eliminated that's just cruel
And he laughed when he saw 11
I think this is a great analysis of 58’s motive, like PERFECT. If you think about it from 58’s perspective it gets worse. 58 was on the other side of the room, so he wouldn’t even know about 42 manipulating 43, making us wonder why he actually did it 😅.
Thank you! I didn’t even think about that; it would’ve been a great point to make in the video
But can we all agree that 42 was still pure evil
no he was just doing what he had to to win. its a competition he may have been mean in it but not evil
He definitely deserves the “Most Hated” award
@@PuppyShortsYT he took 250000 away from 10 people including a child so its obvious that people hate him so they dont want him to win the big prize because of the evil he did.
@@Usernam51011 effectively, winning would also take 250,000 from a child. everyone there was there to win
@@PuppyShortsYT So are you saying that you would resort to psychological manipulation tactics to get the money for yourself? Because 42 manipulated 43. This could essentially be considered a form of emotional abuse, which is illegal. I understand this sounds far-fetched, but it makes you realize that 42 is almost a criminal
Honestly I hated 42 from the beginning. I don't know he just look like someone who dont deserve any money So I was happy he didn't win
Welp…
42 literally manipulated 43 and made her kick 10 PEOPLE OUT it doesnt matter if he loses. he probably changed the other people's 10 lives forever in a chance to winning big EVEN AN 11 YEAR OLD COULDN'T WIN because of 42's selfish purposes. 58 isn't evil, 42 is.
I think 43 knew what she was doing. They had to eliminate all those people, it was part of the challenge and they couldn’t move on unless all those people were eliminated. Totally different contexts
43 is an adult woman who can make her own choices, even if 42 encouraged it, that is the right strategy to win, so there would be nothing wrong with it.
