Drake Custom Model 45 Bass Guitar Build

Welcome to another custom handcrafted Drake Custom Bass & Guitar build. This video shows a Model 45 5 string bass guitar made for one of our customers. This bass used the following materials:
spalted maple top wood with roasted alder back wood
roasted maple neck with matching spalted maple headstock veneer
ebony fingerboard with maple wood oval inlays
Hipshot tuners and bridge
Howard Ulyate pickups
3-leaf audio preamp
Custom made to customer specs by Andrew & Rose in the shop in Iowa, USA.

This is insane. You've literally included _everything_ in that bass that over years of playing I've been incorporating into various self-assembled basses!
The 2+3 staggered headstock (for better winding the B and E string), the same shape of headstock, large visible fret markers on the fretboard face, a slim profile neck, a ramp, and what looks like series/parallel switching for each pickup on a 3-band EQ setup.
The only difference between this and instruments I've put together is the scale (I've had to use 34"), a 16mm string spacing at the saddles, and I've used threaded inserts in my neck and Luminlay 5mm glow in the dark dots.
If I wasn't putting a bass together right now I'd literally be throwing my money at you!!
