- A major infrastructure project and soon to become part of Cebu’s iconic landmarks, the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) will connect mainland Cebu from Cebu City to Cordova town in Mactan Island.
Project developer Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC), a subsidiary company of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), envisions CCLEX as not only decongesting traffic in the two existing bridges but also increasing economic activities in Cebu and throughout the Visayas Region.
To be operated as a toll expressway, the artistically designed 8.5-kilometer CCLEX will have two lanes in each direction and 51-meter navigational clearance for shipping traffic. With its design speed of 80 kilometers per hour, CCLEX is expected to serve at least 50,000 vehicles daily. It is scheduled for completion in 2021.
CCLEC will implement the construction and oversee the operation of CCLEX through a joint venture agreement with the City of Cebu and Municipality of Cordova

from cavite grabe dang ganda din nang projects ni President dian sa inyo♥️
Show those trash to Duterte's attention so the city gets reprimanded for allowing it to happen. It should not happen because it is controllable if the LGUs are doing their job of cleaning and monitoring our shores. Sack those barrio captains along the coast if they are not monitoring their people throwing trash in the waters.
Sad about the basura - I am so in love with Cebu (my asawa is from Bulacao, Pardo) and it's heartbreaking to see the garbage. It's terrible what people have allowed to happen - and it's obviously not just in Cebu or the Philippines in general. When we return to Cebu to live our plans are to look for projects that are going to help clean up the waterways in that flow through the city and into the ocean. Every bit helps.
The sea water in that area is shallow so they use soil (temporary reclaim) to provide stable ground for the heavy equipment and also to facilitate ease of constructing those piers and off ramp. Once CCLEX is finished, they'll remove all the soil, not only under the on and off ramps but also the soil under the CCLEX viaduct. The only soil that will be permanent are the ones used in the causeway and toll plaza part of CCLEX.
