    Thanks for the video, nice one! I really like you're thoughts about kickboxing! I'm Dutch and trained in several gyms in the Netherlands and what us was thought in these gyms, if you block with you're arm, you can counter fast direct with a lowkick. Ofcourse you can mixed up with a straight and combination work. A good example of blocking with you're arms and counter with lowkicks, is the first fight between Andy Souwer vs Yodsanklai in 2008.

    Just remember guys, Dutch blocks are great for countering and damage absorption, but it leaves your opposite side of your face open for a strike, so be quick in the counter

    You can also use the Traditional Muay Thai Check blocks, Where you lift your Legs To protect yourself with you upper shin against your opponent's Low and Body Roundhouse kick😊🌄😇💖💯

    Great respect Bazooka Joe; but reminder of the Cung Le Frank Shamrock donneybrook. Shamrock got his arm busted using his arm to block versus Muai Thai leg block as well. There is no arm on earth short of a Goju Ryu or Gung Gu Master’s that can withstand the might leg kicks.

    Hope I get a reply, but it seems as though Dutch is better for shorter fighters? You said block the kicks you stay long (fight with distance) but for shorter fighters we have to get inside, therefore Dutch style is better for us? I’m 5’8”, 185lbs new to kickboxing

    Nice, but without shin protection equipment the shin could break the forearm. It is much stronger I think.

    More videos on proper kick blocks that arent just checks

      It’s basically this and checks. You can also do this + a check for power shots.
      You can block snap kicks a variety of ways (like old school martial art forearm blocks) but these days many people kick through the target and use their shin which can break your forearms
