    To answer your question, yes Malaysians do eat char kuey teow here in Malaysia. In fact, it is very famous food throughout the country.

    Since you know Jade, Yerim and Dasol, you can ask them to make some of Malaysia food for you and also teh tarik. They can cook it.🥰

    Yes, almost all Malaysian love to eat fishcake (Odeng). We put fishcake in Char kueyteow or Fried Beehoon too.
    I think there is handmade fishcake in Malaysia too. Malaysia is multiracial country, there is chinese, malay, indian and more races. Maybe you feel familiar because Char kueyteow is Chinese cuisine🤔

      Yesss! Eating out in Malaysia is almost every day... For me, 3 times daily n hardly for me to cook at home except the rice... Huhu USD 4-5 will get me a meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner...

      Menurut sejarawan kuliner Fadly Rahman, krupuk sudah ada di Jawa sejak abad ke-9 atau ke-10. Dalam prasasti Batu Pura tertulis krupuk rambak, yang mengacu pada kerupuk yang terbuat dari kulit sapi atau kerbau, yang masih ada hingga saat ini sebagai krupuk kulit, dan biasanya digunakan dalam masakan Jawa yang disebut krechek. Dalam perkembangannya, krupuk menyebar ke seluruh nusantara, dan rasanya bervariasi sesuai dengan bahannya. Dari Jawa, krupuk menyebar ke berbagai wilayah pesisir Kalimantan, Sumatera, hingga Semenanjung Malaya.

    So true! As a Malaysian, the food in Agak agak is not really authentic for me 😂 Please try The Makan (더 마칸) at Jamsil! Especially the Nasi lemak there!

    To get good Malaysia varieties of food will need to come to Malaysia because this country has multi race of people with majority of malay, Chinese and Indian and so with different race of people there are so many many variety of food to go for and maybe take uncountable of days to try all different varieties of food and drink and so may dessert to go for and you won't be to stop eating in this country where you can try all type foods from breakfasts to lunch then dinner and if you want more then go for midnight supper which some restaurant open for 24 hour.

    Char kway teow, u can order spicy, if u want chilli..Usually, i will order it spicy..Real char kway teow has a "wok hei" flavour, aromatic, deep flavour
    Teh tarik, gosh, u missed the Pull effect bubble since they serve it like that..
    We can eat Super spicy food, even Korean samyang spicy chicken x2, its ok spicy for me only..
    if you want spicy, you need to let the chefs know, as they probably Mild it for the general public..
    You just have to come to Malaysia to try the real thing!! (haha)

    As Malaysian I personally have tried Malaysian cuisine in Europe and Asia (other than Malaysia), I think we still could maintain the authentic Malaysian taste in Asian countries... probably because the restaurant could easily get ingredients that are commonly used in Malaysia than other parts of the world 😊

    Keropok is way way older and original than Nachos 😆. But yes, you can say its a Malaysian version of Nachos. Also Char Kuey Teow also predates Pad Thai. However as many people have been to Thailand, Pad Thai is more famous globally. ✌🏻😊

    Yes Jiyeon you are correct its not authentic mainly like what you said its catered more towards a koreans taste locally. But you have to try the real thing in Malaysia. Its truly malaysian authentic food especially the penang char kueh teow (origin of this local fried flat rice noodles the best in one of malaysia states called Pulau Pinang or Penang in english its one of a kind and does not taste like pad thai : ). As for the Laksa hmm still malaysia have a few varieties 1. Curry Laksa 2. Assam Laksa 3. Nyonya Laksa so must try only in malaysia! Do make a trip to malaysia for vacation and look, see, feel, taste for yourself! You will be amazed! Cheers!

    i won't say it's not authentic but halal (meaning pork free)... take char kuey teow for example, in malaysia, the non-halal version they put chinese sausage, prawn, cockle & some pork lard too which makes it even tastier
    There are many more nice malaysian food you should try out... stay longer in malaysia & you will know why malaysia it's a food heaven
