I used to think that characterlessness was only due to poor law enforcement or poor economic conditions. But then I came across people who were from countries which were poorer than Pakistan, and I came across people who had experienced the lawlessness of living in a war zone for decades, still they had better morals. Also I came across Pakistani origin youngsters born and brought up abroad who have spent a total of less than 6 months of their lives in Pakistan, yet they had the same characterlessness that is prevalent in Pakistan. I reached the conclusion that one terrible generation, raised a worse generation which is now raising an even worse generation regardless of where on the globe they have ended up living. It is easier to find a Pakistani who prays 5 times a day than to find a Pakistani who would return Rs.500/= loan without asking. Fraud is old news now. Now there is criminal mindset that has permeated as well into the mix. Instead of returning Rs.500/=, people would consider kicking you out of bus to get Rs.1000/= more that he spotted in your pocket.

@@syedzaffar3151 No my friend that is not the case. Most people are NOT trustworthy. Trustworthiness is only up to Rs.50/= so for example if you buy naan chances of getting cheated are minimal. But if you go over Rs. 50/= such as buy Sheermaal which costs Rs.75/= chances of cheating increases. And as the money goes up, chances of getting cheated goes exponentially up. And at Rs.1000/= and above there is chance of serious bodily injury or death.

آپ بالکل درست کہہ رہے ہیں۔ دھوکہ، فراڈ اور جھوٹ ہماری رگ رگ میں دوڑ رہا ہے۔ بہت عرصہ پہلے میں ایک ٹرین میں سفر کر رہا تھا، میرے والے کمپارٹمنٹ میں ایک فیملی سفر کر رہی تھی۔ اس فیملی کو ان کے کسی رشتہ دار ریلوے ملازم نے بٹھا کر کہا تھا کہ کوئی ٹکٹ چیکر پوچھے تو میرا نام لے دینا۔ دوران سفر جب ٹکٹ چیکر آیا اور ان سے ٹکٹس کا پوچھا تو اس فیملی کے سربراہ نے کہا کہ ہم فلاں ریلوے ملازم کے لوگ ہیں۔ لیکن وہ ٹکٹ چیکر اڑ گیا کہ تمھیں ٹکٹ لینا پڑے گا، میں زیادہ سے زیادہ یہ کر سکتا ہوں کہ جرمانہ معاف کردوں۔ لیکن وہ فیملی نہ مانی اور ٹکٹ خریدنے سے مسلسل انکار کرتی رہی۔ سب سے زیادہ حیرانی یہ ہوئی کہ ڈبے کے تمام مسافر اس فیملی کے حمایتی بن گئے۔ اس کے باوجود ٹکٹ چیکر اڑا رہا اور اس فیملی سے ٹکٹوں کے پورے پیسے لیکر رہا۔ خیر جب وہ ڈبے سے چلا گیا تو کئی مسافر اس ٹکٹ چیکر کی برائیاں کرنے لگے کہ یہ کسی کو معاف نہیں کرتا۔ یہاں تک کہ ایک مسافر نے کہا کہ جب سے اس یہودی کی اس ٹرین پر ڈیوٹی لگی ہے، بغیر ٹکٹ سفر کرنا مشکل ہوگیا ہے۔ اس واقعہ کے بعد میرا پاکستانی قوم پر سے اعتماد ایسا ختم ہوا کہ اب تک بحال نہیں ہوا۔

You started hitting the nail after 7 mins of the video. The problem is the lack of law and order as you mentioned. Living in the US, I know how people started robbing stores during hurricane Harvey and local govt had to impose a curfew to handle the situation. It may sound like cliché but its known that the same Pakistanis who are looking for shortcuts will be abiding by the law when they go to countries where there is a framework available. Lack of law and order doesn't give you a right to do the wrong thing, but unfortunately that is a human nature, that is the reason there are laws and repercussions for breaking it. I found the title of your video condescending, but guess you are trying to make a point here. Unfortunately in our country the powerful break the law all the time, what can we expect from common people. The person who wrote the constitution was hanged, that's a reality of our country.

While agreeing with the content of this video, as far as freelancing is concerned, I've met clients who seemed happy to have found a Pakistani because they had had "amazing work" done by a Pakistani before + there's buyer security on freelancing platforms. So the scams on Amazon are not that impactful on freelancer services. You can play your part by delivering excellence.
