- After long last, I was able to string together a series of words about Blankets, one of my favorite graphic novels ever, that I deemed acceptable. Happy Valentine's Day!
Spoilers. When I read this, it started off fun and reminded me what I thought the height of the relationship was then the ladder half of the book. Spoiler, once they break up is when I really connected with it. I was going through a similar thing with religion at the time. I read it but I need to own it. Thanks for reviewing it.
That's what's so great about this. It's so many different things. It stays with you, great for rereads. Thanks for watching!
Awesome book. You should nominate this for book club some time, I'm sure it will win.
I'm pretty sure this was the Book Club
Ben, have u checked out Thompson's 'Habibi'? It's another good one, as far as relationships goes. Definitely 'Blankets' is up there for me, great review mate. Peace n love from Malaysia, cheers!
Hey Farhan, Peace and Love right back to you, my friend! It's been a while! I got about halfway through Habibi. Craig Thompson's artwork is beautifully intricate and amazing, but the constant misery and suffering was ... a lot. Even moments that felt like they should have been triumphant and joyous like the bringing water to the desert immediately led to more suffering. Still, I have always meant to go back and finish it. Thank you for recommending I do so!
Haven’t read the book so I’m just leaving a like and comment this time.
GO READ IT, HAVE EMOTIONS!
@@fireboy312002 No time for emotions right now 😁
I did the video so there wouldn't be on spoilers, but I got the comment so CZcams is happy. "No time for emotions" man, you're really playing into those German stereotypes, eh?
@@bunkmastab Ha, no not really. Just those few weeks rn.
Dude please read it, I know it's silly but it literally changed my pov on the world, it's crazy awesome
What's the isbn since there sre 2 softcover also how is the page quality?
My copy is just the standard softcover, ISBN 177046218X. Paper quality is great, nice solid matte paper, no bleed through I can recall. There's a new anniversary edition coming out later this year, doesn't sound like it will be significantly different so I'll probably pass.
@@bunkmastab thanks seems like there is 2003 printing and another they printed in 2015 thanks for letting me know that it's getting anniversary edition.
