Finnally someone who has William as glitchtrap instead of the mimic AND portrays the mimic as the less evil of the two (since it’s more tragic while Afton is pure evil)
Yeah, Afton is obviously pure evil, maybe not at first but throughout the franchise he just decends further into insanity. He's a manipulating mind bending maniac- why wouldn't Glitchtrap be him, it has to be. Anyways totally agree. Mimic is sort of desperate and whiny, while Glitchtrap stands there menacingly
@@phobiaanimations yes, I’ve always seen William as disgustingly evil as a real life serial killer since the story never shows any of his redeeming qualities, while the mimic is just an ai following its programming (which is also why I’m extremely salty about the mimic replacing Afton)
@@hazakurasuyama9016 Honestly, I’ve found my people. Ever since it first came to the fandom, as a theory, everyone has been taking it way too seriously. Like they treat it as something that’s already been confirmed. And it isn’t. All people have to do is just turn to the evidence and piece it out, which actually if they think that it’s okay I guess. But the problem is that there is *so much* evidence supporting that Glitchtrap is NOT Mimic and actually Afton, but again people just see what’s placed in front of them. We’ve built up this terrifying villain that’s been here the entire time just to possibly throw him away and make a new villain that’s an actual beat up endo from like the 70s. It just doesn’t and will never work for me. So yeah, I also hate it to the core lol

Honestly I was so sad about the mimic being glitchtrap that I considered giving up on FNAF but I decided not to and to just wait and see, even if it is, I’m making my own version of the lore now since so much of it is up to interpretation
@@hazakurasuyama9016 don’t give up hope! And I felt the exact same way. I honestly nearly cried when I heard the news LMAO it was embarrassing. And yeah on the fnaf wiki I left because people didn’t like my theories and ignored the obvious. If it makes you feel any better, IDs fantasy has lovely theories and she’s not a mimictrapper thankfully. She talks about all sorts of things and even made a video about Glitchtraps identity. Also- one of the most compelling pieces I found in the game going against the mimic theory is that Princess Quest has OMC in it which it was labeled as him in the game files, and Old Man Consequences was ONLY in UCN, which one person experienced during his purgatory/nightmare = Afton. So, there’s no way the mimic would have memories from his nightmare, also just Glitchtraps overall demeanor is completely different and there aren’t any things in securitybreach or the newer era of fnaf saying mimic is Glitchtrap

Glitchtrap and The Mimic are actually two different Characters. They just have the same program which is Mimic_01. They are kinda like twin brothers, who are similar to each other but still slightly different. One of them is installed in an Animatronic, while the other one infested the Pizzaplex's systems, Vanessa, Helpi and the animatronics and bots connected to the Pizzaplex's systems.

@@phobiaanimationsI wouldn’t have a problem with the mimic if it was book exclusive and not a replacement for William, the issue I have is it becoming the main villain when it’s, in my opinion, too tragic and sympathetic to replace the pure evil that is Afton

I’m aware! In the games in the security breach tapes she sort of possibly thinks that he’s her dad, hence he brainwashes her to think so and gives her Elizabeth’s memories, sort of like the fourth closet novel with the Charlie/baby bot. And yes the movie is a direct reference to security breach Glitchtrap vanny dynamic!

Ive said it time and time again in this fandom, nothing is 100 percent confirmed about mimic being glitchtrap at all except for the name Mimic1 used in glitchtrap's file. I will believe my theory and will not change it, you can have your own theory and take on him as well. Until steel wool steps up and talks about this major debate in the fandom right now we will never truely know.
